The Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1918 as the Annapolis Chamber of Commerce.
On March 4, 1920, about 80 men voted unanimously to rename the Salisbury Business Men’s Association as the Chamber of Commerce of Salisbury, Maryland.
The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce (SACC) was founded in 1920.
Finally, in 1986, the Allegany County Chamber of Commerce, Inc. was adopted (hopefully for good!).
On January 1, 1999, the Greater Annapolis Chamber of Commerce and the Anne Arundel Trade Council reunited to form the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce, with more than 1,200 business members.
To further the SACC mission, the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation was formed in January 2003.
