I think the pros of working at Mason Construction is the smaller company size creating a more intimate family atmosphere and excellent work environment. Once you are hired here and perform your tasks to the best of your ability, they treat you like part of their family.
In my experience the cons of working for the Mason family has not existed. Being here for 9 years cons at work have not existed. It has been the best job utilizing my engineering profession I have had the pleasure of obtaining in my career. The cons are so small they are not worth mentioning.
My favorite perk working for the Mason family is any problem that arises I can always speak directly to an owner of the company with an open-door policy.
The leaders of Mason have spent time performing even the lowest task at this company, this gives them a very high level of character and goes far with all personnel that work here at Mason.
I prepared by learning the history of the company and knowing what the company does for its customers.
Entertain a portion of the company being employee owned.
My compensation is in-line with the market for my position.
Mason is a very diverse company having also a women owned portion of the company. Diversity is a big part of the success with our field personnel.
The people and clients I work with, the team at Mason is one of the best at solving problem given to them by clients in the construction industry.
The pros for working at Mason Construction are that it is a family-owned business that cares for its employees. The owner's door is always open and he is willing to help with any issues that are important to the company and your family.
I feel like the only con as with most civil contractors, we are on the low end of the pay scale. Being is safety, there is a large commitment to working safe and everyone going home safe each day.
They do help even things out with a yearly profit-sharing bonus.
I think most of the leadership team and the CEO want to see everyone succeed and better themselves.
Hold all employees accountable for their actions.
I interviewed on the spur of the moment, so I just presented myself and my credentials and let them know I was dedicated to helping the company grow.
I feel like being in the industrial area that we are that pay could be higher.
We have a very diverse group of people. Everyone helps each other out to get to the end product which is safety and production.
I enjoy Mason because I have grown with the employees and feel like any one-off them will come to me with any type of question whether work or personal and know that i am truly there to help them. It's nice to have some of them call you after hours just to check on your well-being.
Everyone in the company is great to work with, they actually care about their employees and helping employees be successful. Great mentors within the company, many employees have been with the company for many years and are always willing to teach the younger generation coming into the industry.
Working at Mason Construction for many years thinking of a "con" is difficult. Wages are always a topic in the construction industry, and they are not as high as other nationally recognized construction companies. Mason Construction rarely lays-off personnel and does everything they can to keep personnel working.
Ownership is very involved in employee development, they are always willing to listen to employees and help them out in any way they can.
There are not many companies that you can call or sit down with ownerships and have a one on one conversation with.
Culture has changed throughout the years at Mason and they are always looking at new innovative ways to improve the company.
Compensation with Mason has been about average
