About the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): The Licensed Practical Nurse directs assigned Certified Nursing Assistants and delivers quality person-centered nursing care ensuring compliance with policies and procedures and the safety and well-being of the Residents of the Masonic Home of Virginia. Other duties as assigned. PRN employees are required to work at least three shifts per month, with two of those shifts being on the weekend. Benefits for the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Pay rate $35.00/hr + competitive shift differential 403(b) Employer Match Investment Plan Onsite gym open 24/7 Free parking Employee Referral Program Employee Assistance Program Responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Monitors staff compliance with unit systems and processes to promote efficient and effective quality person-centered Resident care and follows up as indicated. Monitors staff compliance with report resource directions and follows up as indicated. Communicates, collaborates, acts and directs assigned Certified Nursing Assistants and Registered Medication Aides as indicated to assure Residents' needs are met appropriately. Documents assessments and interventions completely and legibly. Is proficient in the use of all required functions related to the Electronic Medication Administration System. Administers medications and treatments in compliance with the Home's policy and procedure. Promotes quality person-centered Resident care by administering medications and treatments as ordered, by assessing individual Residents' needs during every two-hour rounds and more frequently as indicated, and by following up as appropriate; and promotes positive unit morale. Qualifications of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions; CPR certified Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse Previous experience in healthcare with a general knowledge of assisted daily living needs preferably in a long-term care or continuing care retirement community setting serving the elderly

Resolves workplace issues and personnel concerns during scheduled shifts, communicating resolution status to other appropriate leadership. * Communicates effectively at all levels, role modeling a professional approach with all situations and individuals, even when faced with disagreement or conflict.
