Housekeeper - Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Interacts with staff in a positive and effective manner, performing duties as part of a team.
Attend departmental meetings and appropriate inservice education programs.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides technical expertise and assistance to the Cancer Committee in the interpretation and implementation of the American College of Surgeon's (ACOS) Commission on Cancer (COC) accreditation standards. Manages the Cancer Registry activities within the Cancer Services Department to ensure compliance with the American College of Surgeon (ACOS) Commission on Cancer (COC) and State of Connecticut Cancer Registry requirements. Responsible for organizing the Cancer Committee, Cancer Conferences and Cancer Registry operations.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
* Current active Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) certification awarded by the National Cancer Registrars' Association (NCRA).
* Bachelor's degree in nursing, Healthcare administration, Business, or a related field OR
* Degree in Cancer Registry Management or completed 60 hours of College Level Courses, including 6 college credit hours in Human Anatomy and Human Physiology.
