Job responsibilities also include, but not limited to:
Load material onto proper mesh belt annealer per instructions. In the anneal logbook, record ingot number, type of material, time and temperature of anneal, production order number and the time that material enters the annealer entrance door
Unload material from mesh belt annealer. Put finished or annealed material information in computer system for next stations. Weight and record material on annealer weight sheet.
Load material into roller hearth. In the anneal log book, record ingot number, type of material, time and temperature of anneal, production order number and time that material enters the annealer entrance door.
Load finished products for flattening and stress relief annealing process.
Unload material from roller hearth. Weigh and record material on annealer weigh sheet. Record width and length for saw finishing plate records.
Wash material through wash sinks from tension mills.
Use lift equipment to move and position materials as necessary.
Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain high quality standards.
Assure consistent product quality through established ISO production methods and techniques; understand cause and effect of process variables on final product.
Maintain equipment in safe and efficient operation by working closely with maintenance department. Identify preventative maintenance routines.
Qualifications:
Position demands the ability to use basic arithmetic and to interpret and adhere to specification requirements.
One year experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Employee must plan how to load annealers to achieve greatest efficiency (i.e., matching different lengths of material to maximize material going through annealers).
Plan best way to load material to minimize scratches, dents and other handling defects.

We are currently sourcing candidates for a MachineOperator in our Flattening & Tumbling department at our Euclid, OH facility. This person will be responsible for the flattening and tumbling processes for various manufactured parts. The primary role involves operating specialized machinery to ensure products meet precise quality, surface finish, and dimensional specifications before final assembly or shipment.
Job responsibilities also include, but not limited to:
Set up, operate, and monitor flattening presses, roll leveling machines, or tumbling/vibratory finishing equipment (e.g., rotating barrels, vibratory drums).
Load raw parts and appropriate finishing media into the machines, and unload finished products.
Monitor machine cycles, observing dial indicators and controls to regulate speed, duration, and pressure to ensure products conform to specifications and detect jamming or malfunctions.
Inspect and measure raw materials and finished products to verify conformance to technical drawings, blueprints, and quality standards, rejecting non-conforming items.
Select and add appropriate cleaning/finishing compounds and abrasive media based on the material type and the desired finish (e.g., rough cut, pre-finish, polish).
Clean and dry parts after processing.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on the equipment, troubleshoot minor issues, and adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and protocols for working with heavy machinery and materials.
Record and report production and quality data, including process parameters, test results, and maintenance performed, ensuring product traceability.
Proper selection of bricks for part loading.
Proper visual inspection and handling of green and finished parts.
Proper/safe loading and unloading of parts, including sand.
Monitoring and recording of speed and temperature for assigned furnaces and make the proper adjustments as needed.
Perform inspections and record results on proper form using simple tools as micrometers, dial calipers, and dial indicators.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
One year experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Position demands the ability to use basic arithmetic and to interpret and adhere to specification requirements.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and work instructions.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

POSITION SUMMARY: The MachineOperator will operate multiple machines while maintaining a safe work environment and meeting all production and quality standards.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Proven track record of operating multiple machines simultaneously.
Ability to run up to, but not limited to, three machines at one time and maintain a constant pace of filling product between machines.
Clean all machines as required by department procedures.
Perform all necessary quality checks.
Complete all necessary paperwork and all required documentation.
Assist other positions within the department as needed.
Follow all safety, machine rules, and procedures.
Sort out all defective products before packing.
Assure the correct product code/labels are on the box.
Correctly pack the product into the proper packaging per the Dispo. Tape boxes neatly and securely.
Place boxes on the proper skid with the correct amount of cases per layer and per skid.
Wrap all completed skids.
Maintain required levels of raw materials at all times for up to eight machines.
Set up all the supplies need to begin production.
Remove all trash, corrugated, and recycle from the designated section.recycle, and bulk materials.
Keep area safe and clean by assisting with sweeping of the designated section.
Communicate to Lead of any quality or sealer problems
Complete all special projects and/or assignments as directed by the lead or supervisor
Other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE
At least six months of operator experience is preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
Adequate English skills as well as basic math skills are required.
EDUCATION
High School Graduate or GED equivalency is preferred
