Principal Duties and Responsibilities * Knowledge of window and door installation and repair practices * Accurately inspect window and door products to find root causes of service issue * Perform service work on various products * Provide exceptional customer service to customers * Clean the service site of all debris and materials after completion of job order * Operate and maintain company service vehicle in a safe and responsible manner * Maintain tools in proper working order * Provide complete reports from service or inspection jobs * Report and document changes or cancelled appointments * Operates a handheld communication device (tablet, mobile phone) * Identify and report reoccurring problems (i.e. product defects, process issues) * Other duties may be assigned Knowledge, Skills, Abilities * Carpentry skills (use of tools and measuring devices * Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills * Must be reliable, ethical, and willing to accomplish goals * Ability to operate a service vehicle * Always maintain a professional appearance and attitude with internal and external customers * Ability to interpret information provided on handheld communication devices * Ability to operate a tablet and/or mobile phone in daily activities (i.e. reporting, contacting service center or customers, etc.) * Ability to move about frequently and ascend/descend a ladder (or other equipment) to service Windows or Doors * Ability to walk, stand, squat, reach, and twist * Ability to work in a team, if required * Ability to work flexible hours and independently with minimal supervision, as needed * Ability to lift up to 75 lbs * Travel required Education and Experience * High School diploma, GED or vocational training/certification * 2-5 years' field service technician experience (experience in the same/similar industry is a plus) About JELD-WEN Holding, Inc.
