We believe that high-performing teams drive groundbreaking medical discoveries and invite all applicants to join us and experience what it means to be part of Mass General Brigham.
The Mass General Brigham Medical Group is a system-led operating entity formed by Mass General Brigham to deliver high-quality, low-cost, innovative community-based ambulatory care. This work stems from Mass General Brigham's unified system strategy to bring healthcare closer to patients while lowering total healthcare costs. The Medical Group provides a wide range of offerings, including primary care, specialty care, behavioral and mental health, and urgent care, both digitally as well as at physical locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. The group also offers outpatient surgery and endoscopy, imaging, cardiac testing, and infusion. We share the commitment to delivering a coordinated and comprehensive experience across all locations, ensuring the appropriate level of care is available to every patient across our care delivery sites.
We are seeking a part-time, 25-hour Clinic/Practice Assistant to join our Urgent Care team in Westwood!
Urgent care, also called walk-in or express care, offers timely treatment for non-emergency conditions. We care for adults and children ages 3 and up, addressing a wide range of issues such as respiratory illnesses, infections, minor injuries, rashes, and stomach problems. Because patients often visit when they're feeling unwell, our team prioritizes compassion and emotional support alongside quality medical care.
This role is located at 90 Brigham Way, Westwood, MA. The schedule consists of working 2, 12.5-hour shifts per week during the weekdays, Monday-Friday. Since Urgent Care is a 7-day-per-week operation that delivers care during the day, evening, weekends, and holidays, the schedule for this role will require 1 on-call shift per 4-week scheduling period, weekend, holiday coverage and the flexibility to work overtime as needed.
We do our best to keep all employees at their assigned centers; however, for on-call shifts, employees must be able to commute to any of our locations, including Boston Common, Brookline, Lynn, Natick, Newton, Westwood, and Woburn. You may also be asked to report to any of these centers during orientation (for training/precepting purposes) or during times of staffing shortages or other extenuating circumstances (for cross-coverage purposes).
We're committed to delivering the highest level of care with a smile, and we're looking for people like you to help us do so! Clinic/Practice Assistants are the first point of contact for our patients when they arrive at our Urgent Care center. They are dedicated to administrative support and are responsible for greeting, registration, and on-demand scheduling.
Whether you are seeking to gain more experience in the healthcare industry or a proven healthcare professional seeking a new challenge, the Clinic/Practice Assistant role is the opportunity for you!
Are you ready to help us deliver top-notch care and exceed patients' expectations of what a visit to the doctor is like?
