ABOUT THE Perioperative Services/IR Cath Lab DEPARTMENT AT BOSTON MEDICAL CENTER:
The new Cardiac Catheterization, Electrophysiology(EP) and Interventional Radiology labs are part of the Integrated Procedural Platform (IPP) on the 2nd floor of the Menino building. All of the procedural areas will perform diagnostic as well as interventional procedures. Cardiac Cath Lab procedures include complex coronary artery revascularization, invasive physiologic and hemodynamic assessments, and minimally invasive structural heart disease interventions, including percutaneous valve replacement and repairs. The Electrophysiology Lab performs EP studies, ablations, and pacemaker/defibrillator implantations. Interventional Radiology encompasses the widest range of procedures performed by multiples services including radiology, neuro-radiology and vascular surgery.

Key Responsibilities:
* Providing care for medically acute pediatric patients on our 14-bed inpatient Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant Unit.
* Working collaboratively as part of multi-disciplinary team devoted to delivering family centered care to children requiring a stem cell transplant for various disorders which include but are not limited to oncology, hematology, genetic and immunological disorders and complications following stem cell transplant with varying levels of acuity and complexity.
* Working closely with the inpatient Hematology/Oncology and Clinical Research unit.

Primary Responsibilities:
Clinical Practice: Participates in daily huddles and shares information with the team that is vital to enhance the patient office experience, delivery and coordination of care and incorporates the patient as an active team member.
