As a New Business Suitability Principal you will conduct back-office review and firm-acceptance of new and existing business and account maintenance submissions as well as suitability reviews for accounts clearing through National Financial Services (NFS). The Team
The MML Investors Services (MMLIS) Society 1851 Wealth Management (Formally: Elite Services Team) provides white glove, concierge level, operational support and service to our Top-Tier Wealth Management advisors. We review and process all of their MMLIS New Business in addition to facilitating post new account functions including Advisory Operations, Cashiering, Transfer of Assets, and Account Maintenance. Our strategy includes growing and retaining our most successful and influential advisor population across the country and supporting them with operational experience that is laser focused on the ease of doing business. We provide tailored telephony support and partner closely with all Service and Operations areas within MMLIS including MMLIS Product, MMFA leadership, Legal, and Compliance.
The Impact
Conduct back-office review and firm-acceptance of new and existing submissions related to Brokerage, Direct and Third-Party Advisory accounts.
Review trading activity of registered representatives through supervisory control procedures and application of firm policies and procedures and will require the associate to eventually become a subject matter expert for all previously referenced lines of Inforce Business, including a solid understanding of our platforms and systems.
Determine root cause of issues, provide solutions, and resolve matters independently without management supervision at times.
Implementation and management of operational and supervisory procedures for the firm.
Ability to effectively communicate with registered representatives, agency personnel, and internal business partners such as Compliance, Field Inspection, and Regional Supervisory Directors. Specialized regulatory review of securities such as Options trading and Municipal Securities may be required. Involved daily in complex problem resolution requiring higher level critical thinking.
Consult with registered representatives, Agency Supervisory Officers and Regional Supervisory Directors, providing guidance on suitability concerns and guidelines.
Consistently identify and report to management on trending and risk mitigation measures.
The Minimum Qualifications
FINRA Series 7 & 24 required at time of application
2+ years MMLIS experience and / or 3+ years experience conducting suitability reviews within the brokerage/advisory space
High School Diploma/GED/HiSET
Principals working 100% remotely may be subject to on-site inspection by MML and/or regulators
Candidates residing within 50 miles of MassMutual office will be expected to work a Hybrid schedule of 3 days a week in the Springfield office

**Minimum Qualifications**
+ 1-3 years of experience in information security
+ Solid foundation of network and application protocols and concepts (tcp, ip, dns, http, dhcp, etc).
+ Experience with various network and/or host-based security tools to detect and respond to security events.
+ Experience with log analysis using SIEM/SOAR platforms.
+ Theoretical and practical security knowledge and investigation experience with Mac, Linux, and Windows operating systems, as well as cloud environments.

American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the leading payment card issuer for corporations and small businesses with products and services to help them run and grow their business. Within GCS, the Business Line of Credit (BLOC) plays a critical role in shaping the future of our lending portfolio. The BLOC Product Development team is responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions that provide businesses with flexible access to capital, while maintaining a strong focus on risk management, operational excellence, and customer experience.
As part of this team, you will collaborate across range of cross-functionals stakeholders to drive both strategic initiatives and platform enhancements that strengthen & grow the BLOC product, integrate into enterprise capabilities, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
The ideal candidate will have proven ability to lead project delivery end-to-end with exceptional problem-solving and collaboration skills. They will have experience managing multiple stakeholder partner teams, running one or more Engineering scrum teams, and working closely with Engineers and other partner teams to design solutions, achieve governance approvals, and build/test/deploy solutions.
What you'll be doing:
+ Lead the end-to-end product development and delivery of initiatives in the BLOC product journey, focusing on the management of a customer's acquisition journey.
+ Drive collaboration with engineering, product strategy, marketing and other cross-functional team members to align requirements, determine implementation approaches, and deliver high impact initiatives
+ Manage initiatives across multiple Engineering scrum teams, defining user stories & test criteria, influencing sprint plans, and ensuring quality delivery
+ Ensure operational soundness and regulatory compliance across the existing customer journeys, functionality, and processes
+ Partner with Servicing, Operations, Compliance, and Control teams to resolve customer issues and address platform breakdowns
+ Document business architecture and product functionality to ensure clarity, alignment, and knowledge sharing
+ Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and coaching team members while modeling execution excellence
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ 5 years of experience in product management, platform development, or related roles within financial services or engineering teams
+ Proven track record in leading large product initiatives from concept to execution
+ A balance of technical knowledge and business acumen with experience working with engineers and partners on large, complex production systems in an agile environment
+ Strong relationship & communication skills to influence decision making and communicate at multiple organizational levels
+ Experience defining and delivering product roadmaps, managing multiple priorities while adapting to evolving business needs
+ Strong analytical skills with experience using data and research to guide decision-making and issue resolution
+ Proficiency in documenting business solutions to ensure a clear understanding of platform capabilities and their role in product development

The Senior Analyst, Small Business Card & Rewards Analytics will lead the strategy and execution of SBS card product performance, engagement, and usage analytics delivering insights to expand and deepen our relationship with customers. This critical role will partner with product, marketing, credit risk, and finance teams to inform rewards constructs and benefits-led product line strategies that differentiate American Express offerings in the marketplace while driving balanced economics.
This role represents a unique opportunity to leverage applied quantitative experience to directly shape business strategy and role requires a high level of expertise in driving decisions backed by data insights, deploying advanced predictive and statistical methodologies, leading strategic analytics, and designing scalable data assets. The ideal candidate will bring a unique balance of technical skills combined with a strategic mindset and the ability to communicate effectively. They will be able to work in white space with unstructured problems and build successful partnerships with a large variety of teams and business units to identify opportunities and influence outcomes.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Translate business problems into data strategies and drive analytical workstreams on SBS customer engagement, card benefit usage, rewards, and retention leveraging analytical techniques
+ Drive the strategy and execution for creation of SBS card transaction and customer data assets including migration of source data to cloud environment and design of sustainable, optimized data structure
+ Develop and build SBS card performance reporting and key performance indicator measurement using BI tools (i.e. Tableau)
+ Model expected impact on business of potential charge product features and enhancements and advise senior leaders on product roadmap
+ Design, launch and measure tests of product construct configurations to increase rewards and benefits awareness, redemption, and spend; Build analytical frameworks for robust measurement when clear A/B testing doesn't exist.
+ Identify and build behavior-based segmentation to provide insights into customer behavior and drive recommendations for business priorities.
+ Manage and prioritize demands for data, ad hoc analytics, and reporting from multiple stakeholders, reallocating resources as necessary to ensure alignment with business priorities
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Relevant professional experience including experience in hands-on analytical role(s) leveraging data to drive decisions, translate operational performance into financial implications, and influencing business strategies
+ Experience building sustainable data assets using cloud-based analytical tools, querying languages, and visualization software (e.g., SQL, Python, Databricks, Tableau) is a must
+ Good understanding of card economics and performance drivers with proven success in driving business results via strategic analysis. Experience in Charge/Loyalty analytics is a plus.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts and analytics-driven findings to non-technical stakeholders, and to explain business processes, concepts, and issues to technical resources
+ Team player with proven ability to influence and collaborate with others across all levels of an organization
+ Proven track record translating business problems into data strategies and solutions, leading complex, multi-stage analytical workstreams, and advising senior leadership on data-based insights
+ Bachelor's degree preferably in a quantitative field (e.g. statistics, engineering, math, science, economics, etc.)

The Hartford's Energy team is growing! This position is being posted in advance of an anticipated new role in 2026
*The title of this role will be flexible depending on the candidate's level of experience.
As an Underwriter for Energy Casualty at The Hartford, your primary role will be to underwrite and actively pursue new business pricing, servicing the needs of our brokerage partners on an account by account basis. You'll analyze the agency book on quarter-to-quarter basis for potential action. In addition, you'll coaches and mentor staff on your team, providing support to junior underwriters.
Agency Management:Typically manages higher volume and/or higher Total Written Premium goal compared to country-wide standard. May or may not act with high levels of Underwriting Authority. Creates, drives and executes on strategies for new and/or renewal accounts (prospective book management, executes on the mix strategy, low strategy, territorial and agency sales plans, etc.) Consults and provides solutions. Effectively provides excellent account management service of assigned division through strategic planning and operational excellence. Ensures the consistent delivery and execution of the Circle of Service process; tailoring a service plan for each client based on needs. Positively impacts and influences final account pricing and terms. Successfully sells the proposal. Responsible for, or influences, retention. Takes lead in communicating strategy to the agency; coordinates communications across the Enterprise; educates others on the strategy. Coaches and mentors others on Agency Management. Trusted advisor to agents and brokers; manages the book of business
Sales:
Establishes and maintains pipeline. Manages cross-sell and up-sell opportunities across team; generates cross-sell opportunities. Manages the sales process including planning, operating routines, and monitoring. Sources opportunities for other team members. Coaches and mentors others on sales practices. Is well versed about every aspect of The Hartford's Value proposition to best position us for success. Is professionally demanding and holds internal and external customers accountable.
Service:
Consulting with the agents to answer questions regarding coverage, explaining processes, directing the agents to appropriate resources within the Hartford based on their unique needs. Directs and coordinates identified service issues. Is highly familiar with how service operates. Makes recommendations to service; provides feedback to Service leaders You're capable of underwriting highly complex business and will require limited support from senior underwriters and infrequent referral activity to complete quotes.
Qualifications:
+ 5+ years of commercial underwriting experience; Experience underwriting General Liability and Umbrella preferred; candidates with less experience may be considered for an alternate titled position
+ Prior experience underwriting energy casualty operations (upstream & midstream oil & gas, renewables, alternative energy and/or mining) preferred
+ Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining solid relationships with all internal and external business partners
+ Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
+ An ability to think analytically about business problems, make recommendations and propose solutions
+ High energy self-starter, who is resilient and has an entrepreneurial spirit

Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
98,800 to 196,800
