Leads performance management of technicians including making decisions and recommendations regarding discipline and termination. Uses constructive discipline policy to ensure pharmacy technicians are compliant with state and federal laws. Holds technician accountable for attendance and timeliness. Maintains and improves performance of pharmacy through team member engagement and action planning.
Accountable for technician hiring, on-boarding, training, and scheduling. Monitors and holds pharmacy technicians accountable for timely training completion. Follows established policies and procedures set by the company for scheduling and training.
Accountable for identifying gaps in pharmacy operations knowledge among team members and supporting those team members in their training, either through hands-on training or assignment of learning modules.
Assists Pharmacy Manager in monitoring that all pharmacy and team member licensures, registrations and certifications are active and in good standing/ compliant with all regulatory and legal requirements. Leverages Walgreens resources such as Walgreens Online Verification System to assist in documenting licensure status.

Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for processing insurance claims and billing. They will work within the scope of responsibilities as dictated below with guidance and support from AR & Billing leadership teams.
Responsibilities
Processes claims: investigates insurance claims; and properly resolves by follow-up & disposition.
Verifies patient eligibility with secondary insurance company when necessary.
Bills supplemental insurances including all Medicaid states on paper and online.
Mails all paper claims.
Acts as a subject matter expert in claims processing.
Manages billing queue as assigned in the appropriate system.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM EST (or based on business need) What Accounts Receivable Specialist contributes to Cardinal Health Account Receivable Specialist is responsible for verifying patient insurance and benefits, preparing and submitting claims to payers, correcting rejected claims, following up on unpaid and denied claims, posting payments, managing accounts receivable, assisting patients with payment plans, and maintaining accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with regulations like HIPAA.

Qualifications
* HS, GED, bachelor's degree in business related field preferred, or equivalent work experience preferred
* 2 + years' experience as a Medical Biller or within Revenue Cycle Management preferred
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within team environment
* Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
* Excellent problem-solving skills
* Strong communication skills
* Familiarity with ICD-10 coding
* Competent with computer systems, software and 10 key calculators
* Knowledge of medical terminology
