Prepare massage equipment, sanitize instruments, treatment areas and supplies daily, and complete all tasks necessary for opening and closing shifts.
Maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance, which includes wearing a clean and well-kept uniform, and nametag.
Follow all safety and health regulations including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) protocol policies.
Maintain spa rooms and public areas in a clean, comfortable and saleable condition, including front of house areas. (station cleared, trash picked up).
Report any accidents or injuries to the Security Department.
Carry out deep cleaning tasks and special projects.
Attend product knowledge training as required.
Keep current and up to date knowledge of changing trends and developments in the department.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform a range of massage and body treatment services in accordance with Los Poblanos Spa protocols and accepted certification practices
Greet and acknowledge guests by name
Obtain and complete fully a client health history using Los Poblanos client intake forms
Use client forms and skincare consultation with client to recommend appropriate treatments
Record detailed notes for all clients, including contraindications, allergies, medications, and treatment preferences
Provide guests with thorough and knowledgeable professional massage treatments, adhering to Los Poblanos protocols
Ensure guests receive a plan after each service for aftercare best practices
Be able to provide accurate and detailed descriptions of treatments, packages, services, treatment contraindications, property features, and hours of operations
Uphold and practice the universal health care protocol/standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by the New Mexico State Board of Barber's and Cosmetologists and the spa's policies/procedures when dealing with guests and coworkers
Provide services within the scope of practice of the profession as defined by the New Mexico State Board of Barber's and Cosmetologists
Be on time for shift, prompt with each appointment, and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service
Perform prep work, cleans, and restock room per spa standards, including all opening and closing duties
Assist with maintaining the aesthetic standards of the treatment rooms and guest spaces
Essential Job Functions:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of the property, products, and service available throughout the business

Demonstrate respect, sensitivity, and concern for guests' needs in a professional and pleasant manner
Collaboration and partnering - Identify opportunities and take action to build relationships between individuals, teams, and departments to help achieve business goals
Uphold standards of sanitation, sterilization, and cleanliness as directed by law and the spa's policies and procedures
Communicate to management all occurrences involving staff or guests that require attention immediately
Requirements:
Applicable New Mexico state license to perform all massage services
Stay current on current licensing changes and abide by all rules and regulations associated with the license
Possess a cooperative and positive attitude, exercising reason
Received training from an accredited school
At least 3 years of experience working in a high-end resort or urban day spa environment
Be available to work varying shifts such as nights, weekends, and holidays
Thoroughly educated and understands the body's anatomy and the effects of the specific techniques utilized to determine whether such application is contraindicated to recommend the most beneficial services to each guest
Possesses excellent communication skills and provides legible and articulate communication
Demonstrate commitment to provide the highest quality of esthetic services to those who seek their professional service

Job Description
The MassageTherapist is responsible for providing Swedish, Deep Tissue, Pregnancy, Hot Stone, Reflexology massages along with other certified modalities and body treatments to clients.

Performs professional quality massage and body services that meet the Rainwater Wellness protocols.
Adheres to company and departmental policies and standard operating procedures and applicable laws and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. 1-3 years of massage therapy experience. Customer service experience in a day spa or hospitality environment. Must possess an active Massage Therapy license and adhere to local and state licensing laws and regulations. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation. Native American preference will be given.
Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and Certifications:
Ability to explain treatments to clients.
Ability to provide efficient, well organized and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously.
Knowledge of occupational hazards safety rules.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong team player.
Physical Demands:

Work Environment:
Work is generally performed in a retail and spa setting with a moderate noise level. Evening and/or weekend work may be required.
