As a Massage Therapist, you will tailor massage treatments to your patient's individual needs and health goals. Provide interventions compliant with federal and state licensing requirements, APTA standards documents (eg, Guide for Conduct for the PTA, Code of Ethics), and facility policies and procedures.
Assure safety of patient and self throughout patient care.
Identify the need for and take action when safety of patient or self may be at risk or has been compromised.
Utilize risk management strategies (eg, universal precautions, body mechanics).
Assure patient privacy, rights, and dignity; position/drape patients to protect modesty. Must follow established procedures to maintain compliance with the privacy and security provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act ("HIPAA") regarding viewing, printing, sending, faxing, verbally stating or otherwise transmitting in any form the protected health information of patients.

Document in writing/electronically patient care using language that is accurate, complete, legible, timely, and consistent with institutional, legal, and billing requirements.

Excellent communication and customer service skills required. Must be able to multi-task and desire to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Must be able to remain standing and ambulatory for 75% of the work day. Must be able to assist patients on/off equipment, treatment tables, or other equipment.
