One California Job Summary and Responsibilities This position is self-directed, requiring full participation and dedication within a self-directed team. Coordinates with others to procure insurance authorizations. Performs the necessary documentation and tracking functions needed to comply with health plan and contractual requirements Participates in peer review upon request. Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications: 1-3 years post-licensure clinical experience. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Masters degree in an appropriate behavioral science discipline. Maintain current continuing education units as required for license renewal. Current unrestricted license in the State of California as a Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. DSM IV and 5. Normal and abnormal psychology. Assessment skills and crisis intervention. Treatment planning and intervention skills. Individual and group treatment methods. Sensitivity to and awareness of cultural and ethnic diversity of clients. Ethical and legal issues. Community resources. Billing and documentation requirements Effective verbal and written communication skills. Maintain an appropriate balance between direct client contact and documentation time. Adhere to all client confidentiality requirements and standards. Manage significant electronic paperwork functions necessary to support insurance billing. Ability to manage the case load and schedule to meet productivity expectations; 75% of time must be spent in providing direct client services that can be billed. Ability to effectively resolve conflict and cope with crisis situations. Ability to establish and maintain rapport to engage clients effectively in treatment. Preferred Qualifications: Three or more years post-licensure experience preferred due to insurance contract requirements.
