Job Description

Duties:
Be prompt for each appointment and complete services within designated time frames.
Provide consistent, professional massage and body treatments in accordance with spa protocols and certification standards.
Inform and educate guests on wellness concerns and service options.
Properly care for equipment and use appropriate amounts of products to support cost control.
Maintain complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered.
Uphold sanitation and sterilization standards as required by law and spa policies.
Prepare rooms, clean and restock as needed between appointments.
Communicate to management any staff or guest issues requiring attention.
Actively promote spa services, treatments, retail products, and available programs or promotions.
Handle guest questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
Respond promptly and appropriately to all guest requests.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a high-quality work environment.
Participate in and support ongoing training and staff meetings.
Assist in all areas of spa operations as requested by management.
Perform other duties as assigned.

As a Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant, you will:
Administer the physical therapy treatment plan as developed by the Physical Therapist.
Administer non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, traction heat, light, cold, water, and electrical modalities to patients.
Accurately documents daily, weekly, or monthly records of clients'. Submits clinical paperwork to the office on time each week.
Attend educational meetings and coordinates and contributes to department in-services.
Notify physical therapist or Executive Director of any equipment failures, lack of supplies, staff or client changes, and any other departmental
Schedule clients and performs varied office tasks.
Apply concepts of infection control and universal precautions in performing patient care activities.
Accept clinical assignments that are consistent with education and competence to care for patients.
Promote compliance with all fiscal intermediaries and/or other third-party payors, through education, coaching, and other assistance as necessary.

Required Experience/Skills:
Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association.
Current state license to practice Physical Therapy.
Valid driver's license, auto insurance and reliable transportation.
Proof of current CPR certification.

Comprehensive knowledge of the physical, emotional, social, and biological changes that occur in the geriatric population.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at job as scheduled each scheduled day.

Observe and evaluate treatment affect. Discuss observations with staff physical therapist.
Perform components of an appropriate assessment on each patient, as related to the therapy requested and provided, and reassess as per policy. This includes adolescent, and geriatric patients, and the general patient population.
Assist with formulation of a teaching plan based on identified learning needs and assessing effectiveness of learning; family is included in teaching, as appropriate. Staff physical therapist is advised of conclusions.
Demonstrate knowledge of discipline modalities.
Treat patients and their families with respect and dignity. Be sensitive to the psychosocial needs of patients and families.
Manage and operate equipment safely and correctly. Maintain department cleanliness and safety.
Interact professionally with patient/family and involve patient/family in the formation of the plan of care.
Communicate appropriately and clearly to physicians, facility staff, and members of the department.
Coordinate and assist with directing patient care to ensure patients' needs are met and facility policy is followed.
Maintain records pertinent to the personnel and operation of the department.
Demonstrate an ability to be flexible, organized, and function under stressful situations.
Maintain a good working relationship, both within the department and with other departments.
Consult other departments, as appropriate, to collaborate in patient care and performance improvement activities.
Participate in infection control, departmental equipment training, and organizational safety and fire safety programs.
Participate in personal performance improvement and program develop activities including administrative staff meetings.
Meet current documentation standards and policies.
Participate in educational staff performance improvement in services.
Assist with orientation and in-service training for certified department staff members. Participate in guidance and educational programs.

Education:
Education
Associate's degree (AA) from an accredited college or university whose program is approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) required.
Licenses
Current State of Colorado PTA license in good standing.
Certifications
Current BLS certification.
Experience
Two years' experience as a PTA with all levels of Rehab across the age continuum preferred.
Qualifications
This position requires the skills of an advanced therapist with additional specialized certifications including, but not limited to: Dry Needling, Certified Hand Therapy, Sensory Integration, etc. This position also requires flexible scheduling and the ability to rotate multiple work locations owned or contracted with Family Health West.
