Job Summary:
The MassageTherapist is responsible for providing professional and personalized massage services to clients to promote relaxation, stress relief, and health and wellness. This individual must be skilled in a variety of massage techniques and dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, and other modalities based on client needs and preferences.

Sanitizes tools and puts them away at the end of the shift.
Qualifications:
Education & Licensing:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Graduate of an accredited massage therapy program.
Valid state license and/or certification in massage therapy.
Experience:
* Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience preferred, but recent graduates are welcome depending on role and training.
Skills:
Proficiency in a range of massage techniques and therapies.
Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to assess client needs and customize services accordingly.

Massagetherapists can specialize in many different types of massage or modalities. Swedish massage, deep-tissue massage, and sports massage are just a few of the many modalities of massage therapy. Most massagetherapists specialize in several modalities, which require different techniques.
The type of massage given typically depends on the client's needs and physical condition. For example, massagetherapists may use a special technique for elderly clients that they would not use for athletes. Some forms of massage are given solely to one type of client; for example, prenatal massage is given only to pregnant women.
