Massages and kneads the muscles and soft tissues of the human body in order to provide courses of treatment for medical conditions and injuries or wellness maintenance.
Prepares and blend soils, and applies the blends to clients' skin.
Provides clients with guidance and information about techniques for postural improvement, and stretching, strengthening, relaxation and rehabilitative exercises.
Assesses clients' soft tissue condition, joint quality and function, muscle strength, and range of motion. Develops and proposes client treatment plans that specify which types of massage are to be used. Refers clients to other types of therapists when necessary.
Uses complementary aids, such as infrared lamps, wet compresses, ice, and whirlpool baths in order to promote clients' recovery, relaxation and well-being.
Consults with other health care professionals such as physiotherapists, chiropractors, physicians and psychologists in order to develop treatment plans for clients.
Administrative
Obtains the basic medical history for a client, assesses any problems or conditions, and suggests appropriate massage techniques based on current health of client.
Maintain treatment records.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma
OregonMassageTherapist License
Massage Therapy Certificate
Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within massage therapy.
BLS HeartCode or CPR/AED Certification required.
Compliance with Code of Conduct, Respect in the workplace and Applicable policies, procedures and agreements related to position, department or OHSU as a whole
Preferred Qualifications
2 year experience practicing massage therapy, preferably with existing clientele.
Minimum 500 hours of education
Knowledge of two massage modalities: Swedish, Shiatsu, Sports, Reflexology, Cranial Sacral, Deep Tissue, Aromatherapy, Pre and post Natal

Checking in with the Massage Center or Front Desk before and after each massage service.
Ensuring accurate and timely billing, submitted bi-weekly to the Front Office Manager.
Providing a schedule 15 days in advance for the following month.
Maintaining a professional appearance and fostering a positive attitude towards all staff and guests.
Ensuring massage rooms are adequately prepared for the next guest, with appropriate inventory levels.
Immediately report any issues concerning massage rooms, guests, or fellow employees to the manager.
Being dependable and adaptable to schedule changes, including cancellations and additions.
Verifying completion and accuracy of massage forms, including name, service length, price, and room number.
Committing to completing a minimum of three massage sessions per scheduled day.
Performing other related duties incidental to the massage therapy work.
Qualifications: To succeed in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:
Completion of 500 hours of massage training from an AMTA accredited/approved school.
Possession of an Oregon State Massage License and Proof of Liability Insurance.
Demonstrated cooperative and positive attitude.

Recruiting for two (2) Part Time Licensed MassageTherapists (LMT) : Flexible schedules offered, Monday through Sunday. 7-hour shifts with 30-minute lunch. Up to five treatment hours per day. All services have 15-minute turns. Current hours of the Spa: 9:00am-5:00pm, all days. Able to rotate weekend days off.

Follow established standard guidelines for treatment procedures and protocols.

Assist and be involved with team training efforts.
Qualifications
Possess Current OregonMassage Therapy License.
Proficient in charting and client prescription documentation
Proficient in a variety of bodywork techniques.

Responsible for providing exceptional guest service to all resort guests. Responsibilities will be to provide customized massage and body treatments using the standards established by the State of Oregon and River Rock Spa. Duties include but are not limited to:
Provide customized massage and body treatments unique to each guest's requests and needs.
Treatments will include but are not limited to: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Prenatal and chair massage techniques, body scrubs and body wraps. Quality of touch, flow, pressure and draping will remain safe, professional and therapeutic
Treatments rooms will be kept clean, safe and follow standards set forth by the State of Oregon and River Rock Spa
Therapist license will be displayed at all times when on site and scheduled for services.
Maintain a 20% retail sales level. This will be based from service levels
Remains current on all promotions and special events within the resort
Adheres to all department and resort policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook
Maintains confidential information that is received in verbal, written, and electronic media. Limits access to information on a job-related, need-to-know basis.
Reports all guest's requests, concerns, complaints, and suggestions quickly, efficiently and courteously in a continuous effort to provide exceptional guest service

Requirements
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Current Massage license from the State of Oregon.
Graduate of state approved massage program.
Must maintain CEU as required by the state of Oregon.

Detailed oriented and have the ability to multi-task.
Ability to be efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational, communication, and guest relations skills.
