Click here to learn more about our full benefits package JOB SUMMARY The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) works under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, Rehab Supervisor, and Rehab Director to deliver rehabilitative care that helps patients improve mobility, regain function, and adapt to physical limitations. The PTA implements individualized treatment plans, monitors patient progress, and communicates findings to the supervising therapist. This role involves providing therapeutic exercises, functional training, and use of modalities, while also ensuring accurate documentation and supporting program development and departmental goals. All care is delivered in accordance with state licensure requirements, APTA standards, and applicable safety regulations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Responsible for following the Physical Therapist's plan of care, performing interventions to meet the goals of the plan, progressing patients appropriately, and accurately utilizing CPT codes. Sees all patients as scheduled and assists with other patient needs throughout the continuum if needed, demonstrating fiscal responsibility, accountability, time management and prioritization skills. Completes daily treatment notes with pertinent information charges, and other pertinent information per CCH policy. Works scheduled work hours and participates in weekend coverage to meet patient needs is flexible during times of high and low census and will provide coverage to other CCH service lines as needed. Initiates review of patient plans, progress notes, and supervisory meeting with evaluating therapists. Provides service excellence to all customers and positive interpersonal relations with all team members. Maintains professional standards related to clinical practice, staffing and continuing education. Maintains a clean and safe working environment that is conducive to high quality care Complies with the hospital's Corporate Compliance Program including, but not limited to, the Code of Conduct, laws and regulations, and hospital policies and procedures.
