Qualifications
Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in South Carolina.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
Compassion, patience, and empathy when working with patients.
Knowledge of physical therapy principles and techniques.
Understanding of relevant laws and regulations governing physical therapy.
Work Environment
PTs can work in various settings within the hospital, including inpatient rehab, outpatient, and acute care. The role may involve assisting patients with physical tasks, such as lifting and transferring, as well as activities related to functional mobility, gait, balance, and gross motor skills.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, talk, and hear.
Must be able to lift or exert energy up to 10 pounds 25% of the time, 25 pounds 50% of the time, and up to 50 pounds 25% of the time.
Requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Age Competencies
This position interacts with all age groups and provides direct patient care. All staff must demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to meet the physical, psycho/social, educational, safety, and related needs of the patients in the assigned work area.
Supervisory Responsibilities
May supervise PTAs, PT students, PTA students, and other students.
Assist with the orientation of new staff.
Financial Responsibilities
Bills for services as appropriate.
May provide feedback or requests as needed for equipment, supplies, etc.
Mental Requirements
Ability to read and interpret business or safety manuals, clinical or technical procedures, or regulations.
Ability to write reports, correspondence, and manuals.

Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

Education: Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy or Physical Therapist Assistant program and licensure as a PT or PTA in South Carolina. Job Summary:
The MassageTherapist is responsible for providing professional and personalized massage services to clients to promote relaxation, stress relief, and health and wellness. This individual must be skilled in a variety of massage techniques and dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, and other modalities based on client needs and preferences.
Conduct client consultations to understand individual wellness goals and tailor treatments accordingly.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all work areas and treatment rooms in accordance with health and safety standards.
Keep accurate records of services provided and client preferences for future visits.
Uphold a professional and courteous manner at all times to create a relaxing and respectful environment.
Recommend additional treatments or wellness products based on client needs.
Adhere to appointment schedules and manage time effectively to avoid delays.
Stay current with industry trends, continuing education, and licensure requirements.
Follow all policies, procedures, and confidentiality guidelines of the facility.
Qualifications:
Education & Licensing:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Graduate of an accredited massage therapy program.
Valid state license and/or certification in massage therapy.
Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience preferred, but recent graduates are welcome depending on role and training.
Skills:
Proficiency in a range of massage techniques and therapies.
Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to assess client needs and customize services accordingly.
Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to perform physical work including bending, lifting, and repetitive hand and arm movements.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in a spa, clinic, or wellness center environment with occasional exposure to oils, lotions, and low lighting.
May require evening, weekend, and holiday hours depending on client scheduling.
