What You'll Do
As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) at CORA, you'll:
Make a powerful impact on your local community through inclusive physical therapy treatment.
Provide physical therapy treatment to patients in accordance with an established treatment plan as directed by a Physical Therapist
Progress patients skillfully and safely through the levels of treatment within the maximum capabilities of the patient

Provides group, individual, and family therapy/counseling in a residential-based setting to youth and adolescents and their families who are experiencing emotional/behavioral and school difficulties, family discord, truancy, poor peer choices, and other issues. Conceptualizes and analyzes issues presented by the family; prepares intake reports, psychosocial summaries, genograms, treatment plans; maintains case notes using a computerized database; participates as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team. Interacts with schools/social service agencies/other professionals in order to provide client services as needed and to educate the public on Youth/Family Counseling services and the Youth Services Department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field; minimum of one (1) year of experience with individual, family, and group counseling or psychotherapy for children/adolescents.
Necessary Special Requirement: Must possess a current FL License as a Clinical Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Psychologist (COPY of current License must be uploaded to online application by 5:00 P.M. on the closing date).
PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE: Facilitating psycho-educational groups/providing parent education; facilitating presentation/services at schools or community-based settings; utilizing the Sanctuary Model. Also desirable: Two (2) years of experience working with families and children; bi/trilingual (English/Spanish/Creole); knowledge of education/legal/local welfare system/community-based resources (must specify on application).
