Minimum

* Public speaking ability and good people skills. Ability to interact with people at all social and economic levels.

Work Schedule:

* Support in updating instructional resources and managing processes for dissemination and promotion (reviewing/posting/updating) of various resources including the NYC Physical and Health Education Scope and Sequence documents.
* Review, recommend, and manage inventory of Physical and Health Education materials to share with schools in the content areas of PE and Health Education including social, emotional, and mental health; injury and violence prevention; alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use prevention; nutrition and physical activity; and sexual health.
* Assist in the research of and collaboration with other NYCPS instructional offices to ensure Physical and Health Education content areas as represented accurately and accessible for NYCPS teachers, administrators, APs, and District staff.
Promotions and Publications for Professional Learning
* Collect information across instructional content areas to create, edit, and maintain the Professional Learning Catalog for K-12 Citywide teachers, school staff, administrators, APs, and District staff to access all upcoming webinars, in person PLOs, and conference day registration and resources.
* Collect professional learning details across instructional content areas for information needed for creation of professional learning registration links, including CTLE Eligibility, supporting instructional resources and documentation needed for internal record keeping.
* Create and copyedit content for K-12 Citywide newsletters, using Constant Contact and other digital content creation platforms as needed: School Wellness Weekly Professional Learning Edition and School Wellness Weekly Main edition. Adjust content biweekly or monthly, as needed, for changing requirements, timing of instructional best practices and the ever-changing needs of educators and students.
* Provide support in proofreading, editing, reviewing accessibility and uploading content into various NYCPS instructional platforms, third party systems and microsoft office platforms (WeTeachNYC, WeLearnNYC, Constant Contact, PowerPoint, Sharepoint etc.)
* Assist in the creation and review process for asynchronous PLOs courses, including LMS (Learning Management System) research, review and management.
* Provide copy edits, design support, accessibility and testing accuracy of variety of office documents, resources, links, newsletters etc.
* Review all public facing publications from an instructional support lens and edit to include updated and accurate pedagogical messaging.
Training and Event Coordination

Primary Responsibilities:
Provides swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum
Enforces safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents
Evaluates students' progress and completes required documentation in a timely manner
Interacts professionally with parents/guardians after each swim lesson on the activities and development of students' swim skills
Uses problem-solving and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter
Assists with setting up the pool prior to lessons and cleaning up after lessons, including proper storage of all pool equipment and lane lines
Attend required/mandatory workshops and in-service training outside of regular working hours
Job Requirements and Skills:.
Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, and/or childcare provider is a plus!
Must pass background examinations (included with training).
Ability to work with children

Job Position: Pool Operations Manager Reports To: General Manager, Assistant General Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Summary: Oversees the quality and success of all pool operations including the management of the Deck Supervising staff, Golden Teachers and Swim Instructors, as well as the on-deck staff, maintenance of pool environment and interaction with students and parents/guardians. Maintains expert-level knowledge of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum and demonstrates thorough knowledge of GSS management policies and practices. Audits all Deck Supervisor rosters for User Defines, 4MC/6MC/8MC students and proper class placements based on age. Improves efficiencies by merging classes, closing classes and creating new classes as needed. Audits the Visual Scheduler to assure all classes have been properly created, class sizes are appropriate and class costs are correct.Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides leadership, discipline and constructive feedback to Deck Supervisors, Instructors and Deck Teachers to ensure quality delivery of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
Conducts periodic evaluations of Deck Supervisors, Instructors and Deck Teachers and holds them to a higher standard.
Interacts with parents/guardians to discuss student progress.
Acts as a GSS “ambassador” to ensure customer satisfaction.
Conducts weekly audits of the Deck Supervisor Rosters, Deck Supervisor Notes, Training Logs, Pump Room Checklist, Cleaning Checklist and Visual Scheduler.

Cleaning Checklist - Feedback on what could get done each week
Visual Scheduler - Feedback on any classes that are being merged, closed or created and any classes with improper costs, class sizes, class types, etc.

Provides advice, tips and support to the Deck Supervisor on shift
