The successful candidate should be able to perform ALL of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the actual job performance requirements. Interviews and assesses prospective program participants, and gathers data using appropriate screening and assessment instruments. Establishes rapport with participants and determines individual and group needs based on results of screening and assessment instruments and other collateral sources. Facilitates individual and group treatment interventions, in accordance with CoreCivic partner agencies, and prevailing state regulations, statutes, p, licies and procedures. Uses standardized offender assessment information in developing treatment plans or specific programs. Facilitates participant engagement in the treatment process, promoting positive attitudes, skills, coping mechanisms to encourage on-going recovery. Plans participant incentives and uses appropriate therapeutic tools to manage behavioral issues or concerns. Maintains the confidentiality of clinical files for each participant to include, but not limited to, intake documents, assessment(s), and interview(s), treatment plan, treatment plan reviews, progress notes, discharge summary, and referrals, according to written protocols and in compliance with prevailing laws and regulation(s). Documents and tracks treatment plans, monitors inmate progress and reviews status of inmates/residents to verify that treatment and therapeutic programs are completed. Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or a closely related field is required. One (1) year of experience in the mental health or substance use counseling field is preferred. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. LCDC Intern license required. A valid driver's license is required.     Summary A BMET Apprentice is usually an entry level position and up to 2 years of practical experience and is usually assigned responsibility for the general patient care equipment in a hospital or Ambulatory care facility. The BMET Apprentice is responsible for all scheduled maintenance activities and corrective service requests assigned to him/her. Because of the close daily relationship and interaction with the customer facility's staff, BMET Apprentice's must have excellent organizational and customer service skills. Close supervision is provided to ensure service quality is maintained and continued development of the BMET Apprentice 's knowledge and skills are progressing. The BMET Apprentice is often assigned tasks within facility Medical Equipment Projects and reports directly to the Account Manager or Senior Biomedical Technician assigned to each facility. Essential Duties & Responsibilities 1. Must exhibit self-motivation and personal relations skills. The individual must be able to deal with professionals in a Clinical setting, establish appropriate work priorities and schedules, in a manner sensitive to both the customer and co-workers. While working with the responsible manager, the BMET Apprentice is responsible for communicating work status along with any problems, scheduling issues or incomplete service activities that require management attention. 2. Must take responsibility for clerical needs, including completeness and accuracy of service reports, filing, tracking of Scheduled Maintenance (SM) and repair services, monthly status reports, notification to departments of overdue and incomplete SMs and equipment inventory reports. 3. Initiates service requests to outside vendors as required and tracks service completion including documentation. 4. Where applicable, assists in tracking of SM service activities of vendors and processing additions / deletions to the medical equipment inventory. Communicates with appropriate support staff pro-actively to assure customer satisfaction with the Renovo Clinical Engineering program. Reviews budgetary reports and contract inventories for accuracy. 5. Must work independently to accomplish all assigned SMs while balancing repair calls as required as well as completion of all related paperwork. 6. Must respond to all urgent requests for service verbally within 15 minutes. Must prioritize new requests with balance of open repairs and schedule accordingly. 7. Performs all assigned non-invasive repairs. Performs as many as possible of any required invasive repairs on-site. Arranges for completion of the balance of the invasive repairs. 8. Orders and tracks all necessary parts for repairs using the approved purchasing method for the account. Demonstrates good judgement on which repairs are attempted on-site. 9. Maintains timely and accurate knowledge of equipment status through proper use of department schedules, inventories, and SM schedules. 10. Responsible for inventory control. Must accurately track and report all additions, deletions, and changes including accuracy of department inventories and SM schedules. 11. Must exhibit good customer relations skills. A close daily relationship with the customer results in a high level of customer satisfaction and perception of value per dollar cost. Company image is perceived primarily through contact with the customer and on-site personnel. 12. Must work closely with Renovo Account Managers and Regional Directors to keep them informed of account status. This must include SM status, repair status, level and type of special interests and customer concerns and problems. 13. Provides, or assists in providing, user in-service training and new equipment evaluation as requested. 14. Tracks safety and quality related issues as required by the facility including hazard notifications, equipment failures related to patient safety, manufacturer recalls and mandatory equipment notifications and upgrades.     Software Development Intern Purpose: Valkyrie Enterprises has an Internship/Co-Op opportunity supporting the Software and Systems Engineering Division. The candidate will have an opportunity to assist in development and deployment of software products that support US and International Defense Services and Agencies. This position is in Huntsville, Alabama. Job Description: Become a contributor to an important simulation software product. Advance the product's capabilities for customers by incorporating a design into a functional capability. Help develop, integrate, and execute new and/or modified models and tools. Review documentation for the software product. Build and deploy an instance of the software on a Virtual Machine. Document lessons learned from deployment. Produce a set of recommendations to improve existing training guides for the product. Perform research and development reports on key designs - such as analysis of capabilities in Node.js applicable to the product. Qualifications: Must be pursuing a BS or BA in a STEM discipline with a preference of software development, mathematics, engineering, or computer/software engineering. Must have experience with C#, PYTHON or other common languages. Must have experience with computer systems administration, such as Linux, Windows, or IOS.
