Master lay out specialist job description

**The Master Specialist, Lean/Continuous Improvement engineer identifies, coordinates, and implements Lean processes and programs to support business goals and objectives within a plant.**

**Actions and deliverables:**

+ Understands, teaches, and promotes the use of improvement techniques through Lean and Six sigma principles.

+ Works independently with general strategic guidance.

+ Promotes and communicates lean activities throughout a plant and product line.

+ Develops the plant cost reduction plan with all plant functions.

+ Drives improvements in measures of performance through teams and plant staff efforts.

+ Assists with the success of the plant operations in its journey towards industry 4.0, automatization and digitization.

+ Provides training, mentoring, and guidance to more junior staff members.

+ Develops and may lead medium to large projects including defining scope, objectives, and methods.

+ Thorough understanding and the ability to train others and implement the principles of Lean Manufacturing.

+ Uses manufacturing and financial measures to perform cost analysis.

+ Represents organization through individual contact and formal presentations

+ Ability to communicate effectively to all levels within the plant. Proficient with PCs. Knowledge of computer programs including Minitab, especially MS Excel including pivot tables and MS PowerPoint

+ Basic understanding of Six Sigma preferred.

**Required experience:**

+ Bachelor's Degree required.

+ Master's Degree preferred.

+ Certified Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.

+ 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Our ERP SaaS team focuses on implementing cloud based ERP applications such as Workday Financials, and Infor. This unique mix of technologies differentiate themselves from on-premise / cloud applications such as SAP and Oracle.

Work you'll do

A Specialist Master at Deloitte leverages deep subject matter knowledge in an area of interest to manage and deliver large, complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business and technology solutions for large cross industry clients. A Specialist Master contributes to the firm's growth and development in a variety of ways, including:

+ Manage teams in the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures.

+ Formulate planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting strategies.

+ Manage full life cycle implementations.

+ Develop statements of work and/or client proposals.

+ Identify business opportunities to increase usability and profitability of information architecture.

+ Experience with program leadership, governance and change enablement.

+ Develop and manage vendor relationships.

+ Lead workshops for client education.

+ Manage resources and budget on client projects.

+ Assist and drive the team by providing oversight.

Qualifications

Required:

+ 6+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience

+ 2+ years experience leading workstreams or small teams

+ Workday Financials Professional certification, or capability to obtain upon joining Deloitte

+ A minimum of 1 full life cycle Workday Financial implementation

+ Hands-on functional experience

+ Proficiency in multiple business processes:

+ Procure-to-Pay (PTP)

+ Order-to-Cash (OTC)

+ General Ledger (GL)

+ Fixed Asset Management (FA)

+ Budgeting

+ Cash Management

+ Grant Management

+ Chart of Accounts Re-Design

+ Purchase Order Conversions

+ Expense Management

+ Ability to travel up to 50%, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

+ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience

+ Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred:

+ Other leading Cloud based SaaS financial application implementation experience (ie: NetSuite, Fusion Intact, PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, Lawson)

+ An advanced degree in the area of specialization

+ Deep functional knowledge around financial systems and processes

+ Proven skills as a team member, team lead or project manager on at least one full life cycle implementation

+ A proven resource in defining systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines

+ Eagerness to mentor junior staff

+ Committed to gaining exposure to multiple industries

+ Adept at implementing technology-enabled business solutions for clients as part of a high-talent team.
