Master Meter is a leading manufacturer of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and Automatic Meter Reading (As a leading manufacturer of advanced measurement technology for the water utility industry, Master Meter is currently looking for an experienced Regional Sales Manager to develop a territory within Southern CA.
As our Regional Sales Manager you will be responsible for developing and deploying sales strategies that will advance our market share, within the Municipal Market, to achieve profitable growth. You will lead sales and business development and represent Master Meter in fostering a trusted relationship with customers and our Distribution partners. We're looking for an energetic, versatile and collaborative individual who can work effectively across all levels of an organization. You must be a proven sales professional with a strong drive to succeed and an entrepreneurial mindset, eager to foster team growth through shared knowledge and experience. Responsibilities:
Develop and implement sales strategies to support overall company growth objectives to drive market share, revenue growth and profitability within the assigned territory
Manage sales pipeline and provide accurate data for sales forecasting, activity management and metrics
Accountable for growing and leading the territory by building relationships and establishing trust with shareholders, business partners and authorities
Assist in managing a strategic Distribution partner developing joint business plans and setting realistic sales goals
Provide support to the distributor sales team, including business plan development and execution, product training, technical support, joint sales calls, and warranty support.
Market research and competitive analysis
Represent Master Meter at local and regional trade shows
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
At least 8 years of proven sales experience driving territory growth of innovative technology within municipalities or other government organizations with a track record of success
Demonstrated ability to effectively forecast sales growth
Demonstrated account management and sales experience with a solid understanding of the sales process combined with experience selling through Distributors
Ability to gather and understand market changes and forces that influence Municipal buying decisions
Demonstrated ability to act as a brand ambassador
Driven, entrepreneurial minded individual with strong business acumen
Proven ability to develop trusted relationships and follow through on commitments
Ability to think strategically and work with stakeholders at all levels
Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

- Experience repairing major appliances (Refrigeration/sealed systems, cooking, cleaning products)
- Experience in the use of tools, and diagnostic test equipment
- Ability to properly trouble-shoot, diagnose, repair and document product/system issues
- Valid Driver's license in good standing

Essential functions:
Data Collection and Analysis: Gather, clean, and organize data from various sources, ensuring data is accurate and accessible for analysis. Report Generation and Presentation: Compile findings into clear, well-organized Excel model templates, Word reports and PowerPoint presentations for senior team members and clients. Use data visualization tools to present data in easily understandable formats such as dashboards, charts and graphs. Draft detailed written summaries to accompany reports, explaining methodologies, findings and recommendations. Review and cross-check reports to ensure consistency and quality across all deliverables.
Client Support: Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and their assigned representatives. Provide timely data-driven responses to management and client inquiries during project phases. Assist in client meetings, offering insights or explanations regarding data findings and conclusions. Collaborate with senior team members to ensure client deliverables are met and align with project objectives.
Project Coordination and Management: Support the planning, execution, and delivery of consulting projects through tracking and managing assigned tasks, ensuring deadlines are met. Prepare and maintain project documentation and communicate project updates to team members and clients, ensuring alignment and transparency. Identify potential risks, or issues, and escalate them to senior team members for resolution.
