Overview General Description of the Job ClassResponsible for performing inspections and repairs on water, steam, gas, and drainage systems.Repairs, tests, inspects and installs plumbing and steam equipment in accordance with current codes and safety regulations Expectations of this LevelA master plumber must have an advanced understanding of plumbing, natural gas, and medical gas systems and controls. Be qualified to observe, investigate, determine the issues, source and price repair supplies, schedule repairs, make repairs in accordance with all applicable regulations and record information on all needed plumbing related repairs. This person must also be able to obtain all necessary permits to install all new construction related plumbing equipment in accordance using all applicable regulations. A master plumber must be able to oversee and train up to three (3) apprentices concurrently. Have a minimum of three (3) years experience as a Master Plumber. Responsibilities

Plans installations and repairs by studying blueprints and work sketches to determine material requirements along with cost of supplies and man-hours of labor.

Troubleshooting, repair, inspection and recording of facilities equipment including but not limited to heating water systems, steam systems, fresh water systems, drainage systems, medical gas systems, compressed air systems and sewer systems.

All repairs and maintenance of devices, machinery and mechanical equipment will be in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's specifications and required state and federal guidelines.

Will use various hand tools including but not limited to drill, drill press, hand grinder, impact, core drill, multi meter, saws all, port-a-band, pipe threading equipment both hand and powered, inspection cameras, infrared cameras, plumbing snakes.

Computers will be used but not limited to researching equipment, parts ordering, project pricing, engineering work orders, e-mails and viewing blueprints.
Other work or duties may be assigned by the Engineering Director or Supervisor. Grounds work could be added. Snow and ice removal will be done by every member of the Engineering department.
Will act as security by following guidelines outlined in NARMC policies and procedures.
Qualifications
REQUIRED PREFERRED Education: High School graduate or GED Vocational Training Courses in electricity, blueprint reading and/or mechanical drawing Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification: Arkansas State Master Plumbers License. Boilers Operators License within the first year of employment. Medical Gas Certification Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to Read, Write, Speak and Understand English

JOB SUMMARY
A lead or master plumber serves the clients of the company by expertly servicing, repairing, and replacing plumbing systems. A lead plumber also helps to mentor and oversee junior and apprentice plumbers.
JOB DUTIES

• Ensures clients are 100% satisfied with all work
• Explains each service performed to the client each time a maintenance or repair is completed
• Tests each aspect of the job before leaving a home to make sure everything is working properly. Ensures the job was indeed completed correctly and eliminates unnecessary callbacks after the job is finished
• Utilizes Straight Forward Pricing (including all company approved forms) correctly on each call
• Wears floor savers while in the client’s home and maintains a neat work area while performing a repair or scheduled service
• Conveys a safety-conscious attitude, both on the job and while driving
• Maintains cleanliness inside and outside of vehicles at all times

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Junior Plumbers are considered training/apprentice level and typically do not operate their own truck
• Lead/Master Plumbers are considered senior level and typically operate their own truck
• Lead & Junior Plumbers must have applicable certifications and licensing required by their state of residence
