Role
• Lead solutioning for product discovery initiatives, exploring new product features, use cases, trends, and market opportunities that will contribute to the evolution of long-term product strategy.
• Support pre-sales and partnership engagements by providing feasibility assessments, solution designing, and work in co-innovation model.
• Act as the technical bridge between external partners and internal product development teams-balancing user experience, feasibility, and system constraints.

The Sr Manager will manage 9 protection products in the Retail and Travel verticals. This includes managing and creating the strategic vision for the NAC book of business focused on continuous product innovation, improving customer experience, and all core aspects of product management (e.g., P&L management, engagement strategies, customer sentiment, performance reporting, and complaint tracking), product strategy (e.g., value proposition definition, product refresh), and external partnership management, to offer these key products. Credit & Fraud Risk (CFR) manages risk strategies across all markets and portfolios to minimize the company's credit and fraud losses while promoting business growth and delivering superior customer service.
The objective of the Credit & Fraud Risk Control Management Risk Identification, Assessment & Testing team is to identify, assess, mitigate, and report on Operational Risk within the BU processes of the Credit & Fraud Risk to ensure adherence to regulatory standards, Amex policy and enhance the BU's resilience through managing a clear methodology of inherent and residual risk.
Credit & Fraud Risk (CFR) is looking for a Manager of Risk Identification, Assessment, Testing & Reporting to be part of a dynamic team focused on control management, which is embedded in the everyday operations of our organization. This position will involve extensive collaboration with multiple partners across numerous business units, functional areas, and geographies. This role will focus on overseeing key operational risk processes including risk assessments RCSAs.
**How will you make an impact in this role?**
+ The Manager, CFR Risk ID, Assessment, Testing & Reporting will:
+ Facilitate CFR Teams in their risk assessments performance (e.g., Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSAs)) in addition to further assessments and testing / QA programs to ensure regulatory and internal standards are met (e.g., periodic RCSA reviews and update assessment criteria to align with regulatory updates)
+ Provide additional identification of risks throughout business processes and systems (along with business process owners)
+ Lead control monitoring (supplemental to BU process owners testing) and proactively communicate key OR trends, activities, and events to senior management, to facilitate informed decision-making
+ Proactively identify areas of high-risk for intervention (e.g., automated alerts generated for high-risk areas signal need for intervention and focus)
+ Compile thematic risk reporting (levels, trends, causes) to provide actionable insights to BU on current risk levels, emerging trends and root causes
+ Categorize controls and map against risks and processes (e.g., cross-BU process-control mapping)
+ Champion risk management practices within the business
+ Develop risk dashboards and key risk indicators (KRIs) for ongoing monitoring
+ Develop risk profiles and maintain an updated risk register(s)
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Experience in operational risk management (e.g., within Risk and/or Internal Audit function)
+ Understanding of critical operational risk management lifecycle activities
+ Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact and gain support from BU/Technology partners
+ Expertise in process governance, with a track record of establishing and overseeing robust decision-making processes that align with policies, regulatory frameworks, and/or operational standards
+ Experience within the financial services industry
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to analyze data, identify trends, and evaluate risk scenarios effectively
+ Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, Risk Mgmt., or related field; advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MSc) or certifications are advantageous
+ Experience in at least one of the following: Providing identification of operational risks throughout business processes and systems
+ Facilitating risk assessment performance in addition to further assessments and testing programs to ensure regulatory and internal standards are met
+ Enhancing risk assessments and associated methodologies
+ Leading independent control monitoring, including identification of control improvements
+ Identifying areas of risk for intervention, including conducting independent quality assurance and process testing
+ Compiling thematic risk reporting to provide actionable insights on risk levels, emerging trends and root causes
**Qualifications**
Salary Range: $89,250.00 to $150,250.00 annually bonus benefits
