The Opportunity: The Multilingual Programs at Mastery Schools are built on the belief that native language skills are a true asset and transfer to secondary language learning. Based on this, students receiving ELD services are taught social & instructional language in tandem with academic language of Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies throughout each stage of English proficiency. Duties and Responsibilities:
Commit to ongoing professional development in the spirit of continuous improvement
Develop and implement rigorous and appropriate lesson plans, assignments, and assessments in cooperation with Mastery school-based leadership and curricular resources developed by Mastery's Central Office Academic Team
Work closely with school leaders to analyze student assessment data to measure progress and use data to inform instruction

Physical Requirements:

Salary and Bonus Information:
This role is eligible for a $5,000 bonus as well as up to $5,000 for relocation expenses!
New teachers start at $60,000, with Mastery offering up to $82,850 based on experience and education. Salaries range from $60,000 to $111,000, with growth opportunities as your career progresses.

The Manager of Talent Data Systems is responsible for two critical priorities at Mastery: 1) supporting the Assistant Director, Talent Data Systems and Analytics in fully leveraging Mastery's Human Resources Information System (HRIS), Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and other talent data systems and 2) ensuring newly hired school staff have appropriate certification, license, and/or Highly Qualified (HQ) status, as required for their respective roles. This is a hands-on role that is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, and driving functional excellence and process improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Essential Job Functions:
* Perform audits and routine checks to ensure data integrity in Workday, including compensation grades/profiles, positions, supervisory organization structures, personnel information, etc.
* Provide timely and accurate data analysis for state, local, and federal annual reports, charter renewal applications, and Mastery initiatives, as well as perform root cause analysis for gaps identified.
* Support managers, Assistant Principals of Operations (APOs), and employees navigate Workday; create new documentation to help with new or changing processes.
* Conduct intake meetings with new hires to explain their certification pathway and outline steps for obtaining emergency permits when needed.
* Serve as the HR team's point person for position management, ensuring that all gaps are identified, communicated, and resolved.
* Serve as secondary HR subject matter expert in Workday business processes, including onboarding, separations, requests and job changes. Participate in business process discussions and help navigate/troubleshoot with key stakeholders (e.g. tech, recruitment, finance, etc).
* Serve as primary administrator, analyzer, and distributor for staff-facing surveys, including Recommitment, NST Perception, Insight, New Hire, and end-of-year Exit surveys.

Job Description
Role Overview:
The Building Substitute provides critical, flexible support to students, classrooms, and the building at large that help our schools ensure that a) learning is maximized for students every day and b) successful, smooth day-to-day operations. The Building Substitute will provide classroom coverage as needed and should be comfortable and confident stepping into lead quality instruction across a variety of classrooms (guidance and resources will be provided). The Building Substitute will also provide a variety of other support services that support the healthy functioning of the school, including support with arrival, dismissal and transitions, general classroom assistance, student supervision and support in common spaces (like lunch and recess), tutoring and small group learning, and other relevant duties as assigned. Role Overview:
KIPP Philadelphia Public Schools seeks a highly dedicated social worker to join the team. KPPS Social Workers provide the following core services: prevention, intervention, assessment, and collaboration. Social Workers work directly with students to provide effective, evidence-based, high-quality direct services, as well as mezzo and macro opportunities related to the well-being of our students, families and community. Our Social Worker will also work directly with teachers to cultivate their knowledge of students' social and emotional development. Prevention
Provide group or 1:1 school-based counseling services to students with and without IEPs as part of a defined caseload.
Participate in intervention meetings (ex: SAP, MTSS, grade level meetings) to thought partner with teachers and other staff around social and emotional interventions at the school-wide and student specific level.
Build relationships and collaborate with external community and social services professionals to develop appropriate agency services for students and families.
Facilitate workshops and other learning opportunities for families.
Participate on school staff teams to develop policies and practices to proactively build school culture including opportunities for team building and collaboration among students.
Help drive a school-wide atmosphere that best suits the needs of our students, teachers, and families.
Facilitate professional development for teachers to help them understand child development and how it affects student performance academically and social/emotionally.
Intervention
Drive social and emotional intervention plans for our most high need students including, but not limited to, those with 504s, IEPs or requiring mental health crisis response.
Run individual and group counseling sessions with research based therapeutic interventions in line with the scope of practice for school-based support.
Assist students, teachers, and families to develop solutions to family and community factors that influence students' capacity or ability to learn.
Serve as the building lead for crisis intervention, managing crisis protocols from referral through to transition back to school.
Coordinate logistics for outside services when on-site; support inter-agency collaboration when students are returning to school. Lead collaboration and referral processes with our IBHS assigned partners in line with PA requirements.
Lead the school's Student Assistance Program process in line with PA requirements.
Manage support of students who qualify for McKinney-Vento services in collaboration with school and regional office Operations Team members.
Provide outside referrals to families when student or family needs exceed the scope of practice for school-based counseling services.
Coordinate community resource activities with partnership organizations to expand the network of supports accessible to KPPS students and families.
Respond to mental health crisis as part of the school's crisis response team.
Documentation and Assessment
Complete high-quality progress notes for all students receiving social work services weekly and maintain up-to-date records for all services rendered.
Complete and document mental health crisis assessments for students as needed
Complete mental health or counseling intervention documentation related to student referrals for outside programs or services.
Utilize interviews with students, family members, and KIPP staff members to assess each student on their caseload's school-based counseling needs as appropriate; help all constituents integrate information to best meet the student's needs.
Provide recommendations to MTSS, IEP, 504 and other processes related to behavioral interventions including, but not limited to type, frequency and modality of school-based counseling options.
Conduct observations to gather data to determine best options for interventions for students on caseload as appropriate.
Collaboration
Attend all O3s, Professional Development and other required collaboration opportunities.
Create professional learning goals each year and implement feedback as part of working towards these goals.
Offer support to and receive constructive feedback from colleagues to create a professional working atmosphere that is conducive to growth and improvement.
Attend IEP and inter-departmental meetings for students receiving Social Work services.
Supervise and mentor social work interns and/or additional MSW level employees pursuing their clinical licensure in PA.
School Responsibilities
Arrive at school by 8:00 a.m. and stay until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday
Attend designated school functions outside of school hours (Back to School Night, Report Card Conferences, Community Events, etc.)
Contribute to the planning and execution of all school-wide events
Develop strong relationships with the families of students through home visits, participation in school events and phone calls home

We are seeking a talented, committed, culturally competent Director of Operations [DOO] to join KIPP Philadelphia. Directly manage, coach and support the Operations Manager.

Position Summary:
The Enrollment Support Specialist (ESS) plays a key role in helping new families enroll their students at Mastery Schools. As part of the Operations team and Network Enrollment Team, this position supports Philadelphia schools and/or Camden schools by assisting with student recruitment efforts, ultimately helping schools meet and maintain their enrollment goals throughout the year. The ESS is responsible for guiding Philadelphia and/or Camden families through the enrollment process, including identifying the most suitable Mastery school for them, answering questions, assisting with applications, and ensuring a positive first experience with Mastery Schools. Duties and Responsibilities:
Guide families through the enrollment process, including identifying the best Mastery school for their child, answering questions, and assisting with applications.
Provide customer service via phone, text, email, and LiveChat to respond to inquiries from parents, staff, and community partners.
Manage lead cultivation in HubSpot, contacting interested families daily and meeting weekly conversion and outreach goals.
Transition enrolled families to school-based operations teams for registration completion.
Conduct outreach efforts such as referral calls, emails, canvassing, phone banking, and event support to drive student enrollment.
Support school-based enrollment initiatives and events to increase student recruitment and retention.
Build and maintain relationships with local community centers, daycares, and pre-K programs (especially in Camden) to promote Mastery Schools.

Through an accelerated on-ramp and frequent collaboration with skilled Special and General Education teachers, Residents will not only strengthen their students' skills but also hone their own teaching craft! The Middle/Secondary (6-12) Experience: Residents working in our Middle and Secondary Schools will get the opportunity to work closely with a strong mentor teacher in their content area whose classroom will serve as their home base during their first year for their gradual on-ramp experience. Through a gradual on-ramp designed around the pillars of frequent coaching, practice opportunities, and feedback, Residents' opportunities for growth will be limitless! Position Summary:
The Data Systems Analyst (DSA) is responsible for configuration, maintenance, and user support of Mastery's academic and administrative data systems. Role Overview:
Reporting to the Managing Director of Student Supports, the Regional Director of Student Supports-Secondary Schools Support is responsible for supporting school teams and supporting coordination of all specialized services (IEPs, 504s, ELLs) for regionwide support for all KIPP Philadelphia Schools. The overarching goals of the position are to improve student achievement for all learners, to develop and support schools in implementing best practices for working with students who qualify for special education services, to build innovative solutions for specialized needs in our schools, to ensure programmatic compliance with local, state and federal guidelines, and to create efficiencies in cost and resources by facilitating collaboration and centralization across schools.
Key Responsibilities:
Programmatic Leadership
In collaboration with the Managing Director of Student Supports, provide training, guidance, support, monitoring, and supervision of school personnel to assist schools in implementing special education and related services in compliance with IDEA and related federal and state laws, rules, and regulations.
Consult and provide biweekly compliance support to the Assistant Principal of Student Supports and create corrective action plans when and where appropriate based on file reviews, IEP reviews, and re-evaluation data reviews.
Consult and provide monthly cadence with school-based Assistant Principals of Student Supports to develop, monitor, and evaluate the effectiveness of special education programs and other student supports (MTSS, 504, ELL, etc.)
Conduct weekly check-ins (O3's) and coaching and development support for Assistant Principals of Student Supports (file reviews, supporting case managers, IEP development, replacement curriculum, assessments, etc.).
Analyze student achievement and progress data across multiple metrics and lead/consult with Managing Director of Student Supports on programmatic design decisions to enhance student outcomes.
Implement systems of training, coaching, and supports so that students with disabilities are provided research-based, specially designed instruction that meets the unique needs of the student.
Partners with school personnel to assist students with disabilities to access the sate-approved general education curriculum and to the maximum extent appropriate, be educated with their non-disabled peers.
Works with school teams to develop transition programming for students with disabilities (SWD) and overseas related logistics, transportation, memorandums of understanding, with worksite partners (Assistant Principals of Student Supports). Supervise out of district (OOB) placements.
Consult with schools on unique student cases that involve special placement decisions or unique logistical issues (i.e., transportation, medical services, homebound instruction, etc.).
Support the implementation and coaching of special education and intervention curriculum in literacy, math and writing through selection, adoption, training, and implementation process
Design impactful, high quality professional development workshops for Assistant Principals of Student Supports, case managers, and teachers on instructional and programmatic initiatives
Serve as a central point of contact for internal programmatic and compliance questions related to Special Education (including services, discipline, etc.).
Work with schools to implement the pre-referral process (e.g., SAP, RTII, Child Find) and support implementation of a multi-tiered support system (MTSS) and Tier 3 decisions.
Support coordination of Psychology, Related Services, and other Special Education supports with outside agencies.
Represent KIPP Philadelphia Schools on due process cases and pre-case settlements with attorneys.
Support Due Process compliance processes through case tracking, filing, and case closure.
Operational/Compliance Leadership
Analyze and report on special education enrollment and budgeting
Co-Manage regional Special Education and 504 documentation system including web-based IEP database, shared resource drive, etc.
Monitor compliance of all Special Education, 504, and ELL files and evaluations through regular file audits and assistance with obtaining paperwork from prior schools. Make recommendations and provide face to face support to Assistant Principals of Student Supports when they are not meeting compliance.
Manage and support compliance protocols associated with special education (e.g., cyclical monitoring, charter renewal, annual reporting)
Work with recruitment team to support special education hiring, as needed
Negotiate and monitor region-wide contracts with service provider vendors and independent contractors to ensure schools utilize cost-effective services. Meet with Managing Director of Student Services prior to contract approvals.
Manage region-wide Access Billing process (Medicaid) in conjunction with regional Operations team.
Support the MDSS in creating Special Education Budgeting recommendations
Supervise the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Extended School Year (ESY) services
Communicate effectively with staff, principals, senior leadership, parents, agencies, facilities, districts, and Pennsylvania Department of Education.

The Opportunity: The Paraprofessional plays a vital role in fostering student achievement by providing individualized and small-group support to promote academic and social-emotional growth. Under the direction of the lead classroom teacher, the Paraprofessional assists with instruction, behavior management, and daily classroom operations. Responsibilities also include supporting students' needs across various school environments, including classrooms, lunch, and play areas. Additionally, the Paraprofessional helps with personal care tasks as needed to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support student learning by reinforcing instruction and assisting with small-group interventions.
Help manage student behavior positively and proactively across all school settings, including inclusion classes, lunch, and cooperative play.
Assist with personal care tasks (e.g., feeding, toileting, hygiene) in a respectful and dignified manner.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment, including sanitizing materials and ensuring hygiene best practices.
Provide hands-on assistance with classroom activities, including setting up learning materials and supporting differentiated instruction.
Monitor and document student progress as directed by the lead teacher.
Uphold confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.
Collaborate with educators, therapists, and support staff to promote student success.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
Perform other duties as assigned that support student learning and classroom operations, as directed by the lead teacher or school leadership.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of and ability to apply relevant current special education methodologies and techniques

Education and Experience:
Associate's degree or at least 60 college credits (NJ) / 48 college credits (PA), or a passing ParaPro score required.
Experience in a school setting or working with students receiving special education services is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
This role may involve physical activities such as assisting students in a classroom setting, moving classroom materials, and physically supporting students with mobility needs. Reasonable accommodations will be made as needed.
Salary and Bonus Information:
This role is eligible for a $500 signing bonus!
New specialized services classroom assistants start at an hourly rate of $22.28 with Mastery offering up to $24.46, based on education and experience. Hourly rates range from $22.28 to $31.25, with growth opportunities as your career progresses.
This is a part-time role where you will work a total of 29 hours/week, Monday-Friday.
