ABOUT THE JOB The Forklift Operator will perform various tasks associated with the movement of product, raw materials and other commodities in the plant in a safe, responsible manner following all safety rules and procedures. WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE Loads and unloads trucks received at the dock and completes related reports. Retrieves packaged deliveries, in-process products and finished materials from the warehouse by operating a forklift. Delivers products and materials to the appropriate departments. May be required to enter related transactions for receipts, shipping or inventory movements into OPM system. Completes forklift inspection reports daily and maintains forklifts in good operating condition. Completes housekeeping tasks in the warehouse including maintaining work areas in an orderly fashion and keeping isles and exits open at all times. Maintains a clean work environment both inside and outside the facility by using good housekeeping habits. Routinely participates in problem solving activities utilizing scientific thinking and other continuous improvement techniques Required to drive a company vehicle. Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers. Other work-related duties as assigned by leader. Regular and reliable attendance is required.
