SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION
Works as a warehouse team member and performs all positions in departmental on rotational basis. Loads, unloads, and transports finished goods and in-process products to and from warehouse and production line. Unloads, receives, transports and stores materials, supplies and equipment in receiving sections or warehouse locations as directed. Prepares truck loads of finished goods for shipment. Support inventory cycle counting of finished goods and materials. Performs general housekeeping, 5S, and participates in downtime cleaning activities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
* Follows the plant safety process and ensures that good safety habits are instilled in the other craft labor and equipment operators.
* Maintains an awareness of all safety issues within area of responsibility and responds with appropriate urgency to correct safety issues identified.
* Participates in team meetings and TPM activities.
* Operates forklift and/or other material handling devices
* Checks various forklift component systems and fluid levels
* Connects charging cables to the lifts at breaks and end of shift.
* Completes battery and charging inspection sheets.
* Completes daily vehicle inspection form prior to first use each day.
* Perform general housekeeping and maintain 5S in all warehouse areas inside and outside.
* Other duties as assigned or required by supervision.
SHIPPING FUNCTION
* Ensures trailers are locked with the dock lock system, wheels are chocked, and dead-man stand is under the nose of all trailers before loading/unloading.
* Inspect trailers before loading.
* Visually inspects materials to be loaded for obvious defects and report off quality material or packages to appropriate personnel.
* Procures finished goods from warehouse and loads into trailers or intermodals.
* Ensures correct product is loaded.
* Transport using forklift with grab or stinger attachment to load finished mat.
* Close visual inspection is necessary of obvious defects, as this is last inspection prior to leaving the facility.
* Performs administrative shipping duties as required including generating packing lists, bills of lading, etc.
* Assists in the shipment of return vendor items, ensure packages are marked, and packed correctly for transportation of the package
RECEIVING FUNCTION
* Unloads supplies and equipment. This includes unloading Wet Chop in-put materials. Transports to designated staging or storage areas.
* Places receivables in receiving area or warehouse storage locations. Confirms accuracy of packaging lists against materials received.
* Uses forklift or other material handling device to locate to proper storage.
QUALIFICATIONS
* High School Diploma or GED
* Minimum 2 years' experience operating sit-down forklift

Using a freight pick list, the Warehouse Associate completes freight picking orders by identifying the correct location to pick product, verifying SKU and case count.
Follows proper freight picking procedures using "Countback" to verify the accuracy of freight picked and remaining inventory in location.
Uses an RF scanner in a computerized inventory control system to manage product movements throughout the warehouse.
Ensures all product picked is damage free and properly palletized for stability during transport.
Properly accounts for loose or damaged cases following the proper procedures to reconcile inventory and either dispose of, return to inventory or recoup product.
Prepares freight picked pallet for transport by wrapping pallet and securing any loose cases.
Uses WMS system to identify product drop zones (aisle) or staging areas(dock door) for transport.
Inspects pallet to ensure product is damage free, properly wrapped, securely positioned and stable to the pallet.
Ensures that pallets placed at staging areas are even and have proper spacing for inspection by loaders. Seeks out assistance to double stack pallets to consolidate and make the most efficient use of dock space.
Ensures pallets transported into aisles for put away are placed one bay off of final location to allow room for put away.
In the performance of duties will be required to operate a variety of material handling equipment including deep reach and stand-up forklifts, slip sheet machines, stock pickers and rider-walkies.
Performs all other duties as assigned.

Previous experience operating MHE and warehouse experience preferred.

The tasks and responsibilities required of the Warehouse Forklift Operator are outlined below:
Responsible to follow good housekeeping and GMP to maintain a safe and clean working environment to include cleaning debris from locations, sweeping aisles, cleaning up spilled product and picking up trash.
Using a freight pick list, the Warehouse Associate completes freight picking orders by identifying the correct location to pick product, verifying SKU and case count.
Follows proper freight picking procedures using "Countback" to verify the accuracy of freight picked and remaining inventory in location.
Uses an RF scanner in a computerized inventory control system to manage product movements throughout the warehouse.
Ensures all product picked is damage free and properly palletized for stability during transport.
Properly accounts for loose or damaged cases following the proper procedures to reconcile inventory and either dispose of, return to inventory or recoup product.
Prepares freight picked pallet for transport by wrapping pallet and securing any loose cases.
Uses WMS system to identify product drop zones (aisle) or staging areas(dock door) for transport.
Inspects pallet to ensure product is damage free, properly wrapped, securely positioned and stable to the pallet.
Ensures that pallets placed at staging areas are even and have proper spacing for inspection by loaders. Seeks out assistance to double stack pallets to consolidate and make the most efficient use of dock space.
Ensures pallets transported into aisles for put away are placed one bay off of final location to allow room for put away.
In the performance of duties will be required to operate a variety of material handling equipment including deep reach and stand-up forklifts, slip sheet machines, stock pickers and rider-walkies.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
The skills and qualifications required for the Warehouse Forklift Operator are outlined below:
High school education or GED preferred.
Previous experience operating MHE and warehouse experience preferred.
Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in heights up to 40 feet.
Ability to operate all equipment associated with a warehousing environment. (Forklift, Cherry Picker, Deep Reach, Pacer, Electric Pallet Jack, RF scanner)
Ability to frequently lift at least 60 pounds.
Ability to stand for 8-10 hours per shift.
Must meet DOT sight and hearing requirements.
