The material handler is responsible for the movement of material throughout the site. This may include loading / unloading of trailers and movement of raw materials, work in process (WIP) and finished goods. This role will be 2nd Shift, M - F Activities and duties may vary, dependent upon site-specific needs. Essential functions may include, but are not limited to: * Move material to / from raw, WIP, Finishing, Shipping, Receiving and manufacturing areas. * Unload / load trucks / tankers with incoming / outgoing materials. * Verify materials against Receiving / Shipping documents. * Complete appropriate transactions to document the movement of material within the Inventory Management System. * Support inventory accuracy: Complete warehouse and departmental cycle counts and correct discrepancies. Help manage winding drum and rack inventories. * Raw / Finishing warehouse: Pick up and transfer material racks, pallets and other consumable supplies to / from production areas, as required. * Condense warehouse space and maintain good housekeeping. * Perform all assignments, duties and tasks in a safe manner following standard procedures and practices. Encourage others to do so.
