About the Position As a Shipper, you will use your skillsets to prepare and ship produced Pad, Pole, or 3Phase transformers. This hands-on role requires precision, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. You'll contribute directly to ERMCO's mission by ensuring each unit meets our rigorous standards and reflects our core values. Responsibilities What you will do: Effectively interpret and execute detailed written and verbal instructions related to verifying, documenting, and preparing outgoing shipments. Ensure the safe and proper use of tools and equipment, including motorized lift devices. Regularly lift and move materials weighing over 50 lbs., with or without assistance from lifting devices or team members. Maintain strict adherence to ERMCO standards for all outbound shipments and associated documentation. Consistently follow all ERMCO safety policies and procedures. Qualifications Necessary Qualifications: Ability to follow, communicate, and comprehend written and verbal instructions Proficient in using iPads and other electronic communication devices Strong teamwork skills with a focus on open communication and collaboration Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Basic math proficiency: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measurement Knowledge and demonstration of proper lifting techniques Ability to grasp, reach, and handle various objects, tools, and materials Experience using hand scanners and radio communication devices Skilled in operating motorized fork trucks Ability to operate overhead hoists and lift-assist equipment Physically capable of lifting/pushing and pulling 50+ lbs. Able to stand and walk frequently Occasionally able to sit, stoop, reach, or kneel Visual acuity of 20/40 (with or without corrective lenses), normal peripheral vision at least 70 degrees, depth perception, and focus adjustment Compliance with all plant safety policies and department-specific safety rules Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety toe shoes, safety glasses, cut-resistant gloves, welding hood, and hearing protection Preferred Qualifications: 3 Years of consistent work history 1 year of manufacturing experience Join ERMCO and TRANSFORM your career.
