Responsibilities:

• Operates forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, pneumatic lifts and utilizes ladders, steps, rolling carts or other material handling equipment to safely access and move materials
• Utilizes computer to prepare shipping documents, reconcile shipping records with carriers and records data. Communicates via email with internal and external customers, vendors and transportation companies
• Uses computer to perform data entry in business system (SAP) or other computer applications which may Microsoft Word, Power Point & Excel documents.

• Completes cycle counting and reconciliation in SAP.

Job Description
Material Handler/Driver - Loads and unloads inbound freight and outbound finished product. Moves materials within the plant and transfers finished product to the warehouse. Delivers installation materials to job site. Hours are 4/10's from Tuesday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials to be moved.
Lifts heavy objects by hand or with forklift or pallet jacks. Can become certified to operate forklift through Company's forklift certification procedure.
Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit. Loads truck for Truck Operators.
Moves materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination or hoisting operators to move load to destination.
Opens shipping containers, Counts, and records the number of units of materials moved or handled on designated production sheets.
Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, pallets, or other containers; Assembles crates to safely ship products.
Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together.

Must have computer experience, including experience with Microsoft products such as word, excel and outlook.

Ability to obtain DOT Certification (non-CDL) and maintain DOT physical requirements.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
