**How you will contribute**
Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Shipping/Receiving Material Handler I position in the Global Coatings Division. We are looking for a highly driven individual that will receive, unload, and store incoming product loads as well as inspect for damage and defects to ensure a high quality finished product. + Coordinate any special handling required as a result of inspection
+ Collect Mil Reading and ensure coatings meet ASTM Standards
+ Help with scale and shipping and receiving yards
+ File clean and touch up any quality issue noticed before shipping
+ Operate forklift, straddle truck, mobile crane, overhead crane, and sideloader equipment
+ Identify materials or products being loaded and unloaded
+ Operate equipment and machinery in a safe, secure, and productive manner
+ Make recommendations to resolve any damage or defects found in products
+ Wear required personal protective equipment and follow facility safety regulations
+ Maintain a safe and productive working environment
**What it takes**
_Required Qualifications_
+ One to three years of professional work experience in a similar Material Handler position
+ The ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
+ The ability to accurately read a tape measure
+ The ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, mobile cranes, and sideloader equipment
+ Must have a high awareness for safety at all times
+ Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
_Highly qualified candidates will also possess:_
+ High School Diploma or GED equivalent
+ One year of previous experience operating a forklift in a professional environment
+ One year of previous experience in a Shipping and Receiving or Distribution position
+ The ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner
+ The ability to pay attention to detail and follow work instructions
+ The ability to work outside most of the time in a variety of weather conditions

**Your Role at KIK**
As a Palletizer Operator, you will operate and monitor palletizing and shrink-wrap machines, ensure product quality, and report equipment issues. You'll handle tasks like lifting and stacking products, repackaging when needed, and assisting with inventory and record-keeping in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This is a 1st shift position (Monday-Thursday 7AM-5PM) and availability for OT on Fridays, 7AM-3PM as needed. The hourly rate is $21/hour.
