What a typical day looks like:

Follow all EHS policies and procedures.
Perform accurate month end inventories and understand part flow in plant and where to stock it.
Responsible for loading all production material for the assigned production lines.

Position Description - Materials Handler Company: Quality Steel Corporation Reports to: Department Manager Key Responsibilities
:
Ensure Safety First, Safety Always and meet or exceed Quality expectations.
Inspect equipment to be utilized prior to shift start.
Receive deliveries and count freight for correct quantities.
Safely operate forklift and/or telehandler to transport received materials to designated areas.
Log all material received and report any discrepancies to Supervisor.
Maintain inventory in designated areas, efficiently organized, for storage and retrieval.
Collaborate with internal departments to support plant operation needs.
Maintain cleanliness of work areas and mobile equipment.
Experience:
Experiencing operating a forklift and Telehandler.
Minimum of one year of General Labor/Warehouse experience (Loading, Shipping, Receiving), preferred.
Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing, preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work in various environmental conditions (heat, humidity, cold).
Ability to record data accurately and in a timely manner.
Ability to safely lift/move up to 60 lbs.
Ability to receive and follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to work collaboratively with team members to accomplish departmental goals and to improve operations.
Education and Certification Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Forklift Certification, preferred.

Summary: Responsible for ensuring the organic materials flow through the shakers, informs the heavy equipment operator to fill the shakers, performs housekeeping duties which include scraping, sweeping and shoveling, stacking bags, and assists where necessary at the direction of the foreman. Education/Experience:- High School Diploma or GED- Entry level experience- Electrical troubleshooting, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repair experience - preferred Skills and Competencies:- Ability to follow safety practices to insure their safety and the safety of others around them- Ability to work in a dusty environment, hot/cold/rainy weather - Ability to lift 50 pounds- Ability to climb ladders and work on their feet for most of the day Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:- Maintains the flow through the shakers by poking the material to break it up to prevent bridging- Maintains the finishing screens by scraping them to insure the product flows through it- Performs housekeeping duties to insure the material does not accumulate under the conveyors, aisle ways and cat-walks by following safety practices to avoid injuries- Meets quality and quantity standards- Informs the maintenance personnel of any equipment problems in which they may encounter - Assists with small bag line operations as needed- Assists with restacking pallets and clean-up as needed
