Figueroa St., Los Angeles, 90042. You'll verify that received items match purchase orders, inspect goods for damage, and maintain accurate inventory records. This is an in-person role, requiring availability Monday through Friday, 7AM-4PM. Reports To: ERP / Inventory Manager Roles and Responsibilities Receiving & Inspection Receive and inspect all inbound shipments, including produce, raw materials, packaging, and components Verify that received items match purchase orders, inspect goods for damage, and maintain accurate inventory records Verify and log lot codes, best-by/expiration dates, and vendor batch codes Review and file COAs, spec sheets, and SDSs for every shipment; flag discrepancies immediately Physical Operations & Material Handling Unload deliveries, organize staging areas, and store goods based on temperature, location, and workflow requirements Handle all physical labor required for receiving, staging, and prepping materials for inventory or production use Operate pallet jacks, carts, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently Keep receiving areas clean, organized, and compliant with food safety and handling requirements Documentation & Communication Maintain clear documentation for traceability, audits, and compliance Communicate daily with kitchen management to release approved goods, flag issues, and support daily production readiness Collaborate with the ERP Manager to ensure clean data entry and real-time inventory updates Provide clean receiving documentation and reconcile inbound data Support PO tracking, invoice matching, and discrepancy resolution Quality Control & Problem Resolution Proactively flag quality issues and receiving discrepancies to relevant stakeholders Support cross-functional teams in resolving vendor issues and spec gaps Escalate concerns to supervisor when issues exceed scope of responsibility Skills & Qualifications Required Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in warehouse, receiving, or commercial kitchen environment Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently Reliable, organized, and proactive cross-functional communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy Physical Requirements Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs and 75 lbs occasionally Prolonged standing, walking, and bending throughout the shift Manual dexterity for operating pallet jacks, carts, and scales Ability to work in various temperature environments Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with COAs, spec sheets, and lot tracking systems ERP, G-Suite, and Slack experience preferred (will train the right candidate) Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) preferred Previous experience in food service or specialty product environments Work Environment Location: 5634 N.
