PURPOSE STATEMENT
* Administers and operates the organisation's warehouses, including processing, packaging and storage of supplies, materials and equipment
* Accounts for all materials and supplies in the stores facilities; audits goods received into warehouse
* Oversees receipt, storage and shipment of materials, and related reporting in accordance with established procedures

Essential Job Functions:
Pull finished goods from stock to complete orders using barcoding systems accurately and efficiently
Stack materials securely to prevent damage during transportation and shipping
Execute system transactions in MRP/ERP systems and generate required reports
Perform daily inventory cycle counts in accordance with standardized work instructions
Unload finished goods from outfeed conveyors to pallets
Manage scrap materials and unload offcuts to A-frames
Move completed pallets to designated shipping areas
Load raw materials and offcuts into the inventory system
Conduct quality inspections on finished goods to ensure compliance with company standards
Coordinate with team members to ensure shipments are packaged and shipped ahead of due dates
Wrap, crate, and package completed orders using cardboard and wood materials to protect goods during transit
Package finished goods for parcel shipments and process orders through FedEx and UPS systems
Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
Coordinate daily departmental activities to meet shipping schedules
Identify and communicate potential late orders to the Supervisor
Maintain cleanliness and organization of packaging and crating areas
Work safely and comply with all company safety policies and procedures
Partner with the Supervisor and team members to meet departmental goals

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Requirements
1-3 years of experience in a material handling role within a warehouse or distribution environment
Experience with packaging, crating, and handling hardware components
Strong knowledge of packaging standards and techniques to prevent freight damage
Familiarity with barcoding systems and ERP/MRP software
Proven ability to handle and stack materials carefully to prevent damage
Ability to operate hand tools and equipment used in wood crating
General understanding of shipping practices and documentation
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality
Effective communication skills and ability to work well with supervisors and team members
Demonstrates initiative, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
