* Inducts parcels into voice system by either scanning barcode on a single box or scanning multiple boxes by using the Build Train command (up to 10 - boxes are organized phonetically Alpha through Juliet).
* When prompted proceeds to location, responds with location check digit, selects number of books per instruction, and confirms the number picked. Places books in correct carton (i.e. when train picking instruction is "Alpha, put 2). Push completed carton from diverted location onto conveyor
* Trained on use of all commands to be used. SUSPEND command to stop picking a box or a train, SKIP command to skip locations that are short on stock, ADJUST TRAIN command to either remove a carton from a train or add a carton to it, COMBINE TRAIN command to combine two trains of boxes, DESCRIPTION command to verify correct title in location and, the HOW MUCH MORE command to find out how many remaining picks there are on a carton or train.
* Verifies the correct stock in location when prompted by Pick To Voice by either scanning the ISBN or voicing in the last 4 digits as needed.
* At specified times, identifies orders by wave and plan numbers to make sure they are completed.
General Duties:
* Read and select the proper size carton for volume and size of product to be shipped; and inserts invoice.
* Properly positions and affixes the labels on the carton to ensure they are oriented for the system scanners.

Weighs each carton and use WMS to update the Keyrec log with weights; create a Batch Record in WMS to identify each receipt by Keyrec number. Records in WMS to identify each receipt by Keyrec number.
Unpacks each carton of returned strip covers and prepares them for scanning by shipped from address and Keyrec number.
Uses Tangent machine, its software, and WMS to process (scan) each strip cover returned by ISBN and credit the correct customer for the return.
Keeps each shipped from address together on one Return Authorization Number to assign credit for the returned strip covers.
WMS - Looks up locations and retrieves order status information.
Read and select the proper size carton for volume and size of product to be shipped; and inserts invoice.
Properly positions and affixes the labels on the carton to ensure they are oriented for the system scanners.
Inspects product visually to ensure it is free of damage and the correct count before placing in the carton to be shipped.
Ensures correct placement of the books in the carton to allow the General Warehouse Employees in packing to carefully secure books with the proper amount of dunnage in order to prevent movement and protect the product while in transit.
Records the proper adjustments for short shipments on the carton.
Assists in resolving any discrepancies.
WMS - Make adjustments for damaged books, stock transfers, and put-away (return product to inventory); retrieves order status information; and look up parcels.
Conforms to all Company policies and procedures (Employee Handbook)
Complies with all established environmental, health, and safety requirements in order to minimize injuries, loss of production time, and damage.
Secondary Duties:
• Performs cycle counts as directed.
• Mark locations that are short or contain damaged books for designated short pickers to correct.
• Keep zones throughout the Pick Module stocked with all sizes of cartons
• Affixes New Titles and Laydown Stickers to cartons
• Flag set orders and author signings are identified and applied to double-walled cartons to limit damages in transit
• Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Short Picker - Uses rolling equipment (forklift), retrieves books, and makes inventory transfers from rack location to forward picking locations. Assists in putting away extra stock.

Reconfigure store shelving, build endcaps, and assist with creating merchandise displays. Read and interpret merchandising diagrams (plan-o-grams).
Deliver bulk and/or packaged merchandise to customer locations utilizing Blue Ridge vehicles.
Fill propane cylinders. Operate all propane-related equipment according to established procedures and safety protocols, and in compliance with training and licensing requirements.
Assist facility team members in taking physical inventory according to established guidelines.
Monitor entrances and exits in an effort to promote store security, safety, and to minimize merchandise loss. Request receipt or proof of payment in keeping with facility procedures. Escalate potential security concerns to store leadership.
Perform regular inspections of forklifts and other industrial equipment according to facility guidelines. Identify and report maintenance needs to supervisor. May assist with maintenance of equipment as needed.
Perform daily housekeeping duties and general facility maintenance to keep warehouse, showroom, outside lot and display areas neat and safe. Keep aisles and walkways clear of debris. May perform lawn care, snow removal, painting, and a variety of other general maintenance assignments as determined by location needs.
Work safely as to not cause harm to yourself, customers and property, co-workers, equipment, or inventory. Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required. Operate all equipment and vehicles according to Blue Ridge policy and government regulations. Comply with OSHA regulations, Blue Ridge Farmers Cooperative Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards, work rules and policies.
