Responsible for unloading packages of various sizes from air cans in a safe and efficient manner.
Sort packages based on alpha-numeric codes and/or zip codes. Placing them in a bin or by pallets for scanning.
Pull packages that are missorted to wrong destination or damaged and place in designated area.

The primary purpose of this position is to aid in the organization and operation of the warehouse functions of the hospital.
Responsibilties:
· Corresponds (by phone, fax, etc.) with vendors for deliveries, makes periodic personal pickups, evaluates and determines emergency situations.
· Keeps records of and updates all items and services received from vendors.
· Stocks and distributes supplies from storage on a "first in, first out" basis to keep spoilage/damage to a minimum.
· Informs Purchasing Technician of inventory level to maintain optimum supply of sundry, medical and office supplies for operating units based on reorder cycle and ordering lead times.
· Receives or arranges for receipt of a large variety of items; checks or arranges to have checked items delivered versus invoice and signs for merchandise when no discrepancies exist; signs for and accepts partial deliveries when the invoice clearly indicates that a partial delivery is being made.
· Transports requested items from warehouse or forward staging areas to requesting work units. May lift and carry items up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally between vehicles and work units over 100 feet or more, depending on availability of parking.
· Conducts periodic physical inventories to ensure accurate inventories and optimum supply levels are maintained.
· Completes yearly Hawaii State Hospital mandatory training that includes Conflict Prevention, Management and Resolution (CPMR), Infection Control, Fire/Safety and Patient's Rights and Safety.
