Warehouse Technician
Job Listingsgeostabilization International
Material handler/warehouse job in Williamstown, KY
Overview Who We Are
GeoStabilization International (GSI) is the leading geohazard mitigation and slope stabilization contractor in the United States and Canada. We solve the toughest geotechnical problems in emergency and extreme environments-where lives, infrastructure, and livelihoods are on the line.
This role is not for the faint of heart. It is for those who thrive under pressure, take ownership of their work, can adapt to ever-changing needs, and love to work outside rather than in a warehouse or retail environment. If you're a high-performing, resilient operator who takes pride in keeping projects moving-no matter the challenge-you may be exactly who we need.
Role Overview
The Field Logistics & Yard Operations Specialist plays a mission-critical role in ensuring the seamless execution of our high-impact construction and geohazard mitigation projects. You will be responsible for managing the movement, coordination, and control of critical tools, materials, and equipment out and back from job sites under often tight deadlines.
This is not a traditional warehouse job. You will work outside, in the elements, on uneven gravel lots, often surrounded by wildlife. There is no climate-controlled space or breakroom. This is real-world, boots-on-the-ground construction logistics in its most rugged and essential form. If you've worked in construction, the lumber industry, or other work that keeps you outside doing physical work, this is a place where you can play an important role.
Responsibilities Key Responsibilities
Execute inventory control and prepare for yard audits
Conduct randomized inventory counts across all materials and supplies
Immediately learn and identify all materials and their applications in the field
Accurately pull and prepare outgoing job orders; re-inventory all return orders
Manage shipping and receiving, including safe loading and unloading of heavy materials
Coordinate delivery and logistics for tool pods, safety equipment, engineering/test items, and more
Ensure inventory accuracy and availability for Rockfall Concept and ALC/IFC projects
Perform general warehouse labor and maintain exterior yard and warehouse cleanliness
Maintain sub-inventory control for specialized and non-inventory field items
Participate in emergency response rotation-this includes after-hours and on-call work
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
Equipment Operation: be able to learn to operate telehandler forklifts and indoor forklifts and to perform basic equipment maintenance skills.
Licensing: Must possess or be willing to obtain a Class A CDL within 3 months of hire
Work Ethic: Highly organized, urgent, detail-oriented, and capable of working with minimal supervision
Communication: Must be able to communicate clearly and precisely with team members across departments
Physical Stamina: Able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds repetitively; this is a physically demanding role
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Familiarity with inventory control systems and software
Basic competency in Windows OS, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
Experience managing logistics for field-based construction or emergency response teams
Knowledge of GSI's field tools and geotechnical construction components (a plus)
Conditions & Realities
Work is entirely outdoors in all weather conditions
The yard is gravel, uneven, and not paved-expect physical wear and tear
Exposure to wildlife, including snakes, raccoons, and feral animals is common
No climate-controlled spaces; breaks are taken in shared operational office space - must be resilient under physical and environmentally extreme conditions
Join Us if You Are:
A resilient doer with a “no excuses” mindset
Comfortable in rugged, unglamorous work environments
Motivated to contribute to a mission bigger than yourself
Ready to support emergency response teams when lives and infrastructure are at stake
Committed to growing with a company where grit and results open doors to leadership
