Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Material Handler (Welding) - 2nd Shift to join our team on Badger Dr. in Waukesha, WI! is $19.75 per hour + $2.50 per hour shift premium. The core hours are 3 pm - 11 pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.

This position is offering a sign-on bonus of $2,000*, paid in two installments, less applicable withholding.

What you'll do:
Material Handlers are responsible for the smooth, efficient flow of all raw material and fabricated material into, throughout, and out of the department. Uses forklifts (stand up and sit down), walk along, and 5 to 30-ton cranes.
In this function, you will:
Issue material from stock location and kits material from daily release and pick list.
Prepare kits for transportation, delivers to dock area, and prepares appropriate packing list.
Deliver finished fabricated parts from machine area to the welding area, kitting area, interplant shipping docks, tagging pallets appropriately and staging them in the proper areas with pallet ID tags.
Deliver finished product out of fabrication and locates the material in internal customer Warehouse storage racks, maintaining proper SAP transactions and escalating issues around stock area cleanliness and remedying any non-conformance
Move pallets of in-process work to where they are accessible to various machines, marking these items appropriately with pallet ID tags.
Keep department provided with pallets and disposes of unusable pallets.
Stack work-in-process or component parts in storage racks.
Use 5-ton crane to unload bar stock and sheet steel from trucks. Locates material with proper identification attached and turns receiving paperwork in at the receiving desk for quality inspection. Unload coil steel for the Georg and locate it into the proper cradle, marking it appropriately.
Receive, locate, and issue "daily release" parts daily to assure proper inventory.
Disposes of all scrap steel into dumpsters outside of building. When dumpsters are ready to be shipped, makes out scrap tickets and notifies dispatcher, by telephone, at the scrap salvage company which dumpster to pick up.
Dispose of all scrap wood and interfaces with external vendors to maintain empty hoppers at all times for scrap wood disposal
Move raw material from receiving and locating to WIP and finished goods receiving, locating, tagging, and movement throughout the day without interruption
Deliver stand-up stackers and walkers for battery changes during the shift
Qualifications:

Essential Functions
:
Responsible to adhere to company human safety policies and procedures.
Responsible to adhere to company food safety, quality and regulatory practices and procedures
Properly load and unload freight using a forklift, pallet jack, hand jack or by hand.
Generate Pick Sheets and adhere to FIFO.
Deliver ingredients and packaging in a timely manner to ensure seamless production runs.
Document and communicate load discrepancies with Quality and Production.
Maintain accurate and legible records/documentation of trailer inspections.
Utilize RFID technology (Scanners and WMS programs) to move material systematically as it is physically moved throughout the facility.
Inspect forklift daily and notify maintenance of vehicular issues.
Assisting other departments as needed and performing related duties as assigned.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
Perform repetitive tasks.
Bend, Stoop, kneel, and climb a ladder and stairs.
Push/pull up to 2200 lbs of raw materials on a pallet with a pallet jack
Slide barrels of up to 600 lbs of ingredients from pallets to conveyors.
Potential allergens exposure to: Peanuts, Other Tree Nuts, Wheat, Soy, Milk and Eggs.
Reach, lift, stack, and maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weight up to 50 lbs frequently within the range of the floor level to overhead.
Qualifications
Education: Minimum of high school diploma or GED
Must be 18 yrs or older.
Previous operation of a forklift (7500 lbs vehicle) or previous forklift certification preferred.
Knowledge of manufacturing operations and inventory control.
Familiarity with HACCP, GMPs, Allergens and Personal Protective Equipment
