JOB SUMMARY/ JOB DUTIES:
Job Summary
Under direct supervision, maintains the integrity of the organization's warehouses, receives, stores, picks, loads and distributes products and POS materials within the warehouse.
Essential Job Duties
Accurately loads and unloads trailers of palletized and non-palletized product and POS material. Utilizes manual and power material handling equipment.
Sorts and places products or POS materials on racks or shelves according to predetermined designated locations.
Accurately assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets, wraps pallets with stretch film and prepares for shipping.
Marks/labels in coming products with identifying information. (Date Code, Product Description and Code, Case Count)
Marks/labels outgoing product with identifying information. (Route #/BIN Location, Pallet Count)
Verifies amounts of product/POS materials received.
Uses technology (RF scanning and voice picking equipment) during local checkout process according to Company Operation Guidelines.
Operates material handling equipment to transport stored items within the warehouse.
Prepares and organizes warehouse for daily cycle count inventory and shopping activities.
Complete daily maintenance power equipment checklist. Report defective equipment.
Practices and adheres to appropriate safety, food safety and hygiene guidelines/procedures for safe housekeeping and personal protection.
Keeps work area clean and removes trash from work area floor.
Stores supplies in designated areas.
Keeps work area aisles/exits clear and free from obstructions.
Follows instructions for safe lifting/carrying of various sizes, shapes, and weights; identifies/reports defective equipment.
Reports all job-related injuries/property damage to supervision.
Supports and participates in Continuous Improvement initiatives including 5S (sort, set, shine, standardize, and sustain).
May perform other duties as required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED and/or one year of experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Material handling devices and assistance of other workers are available for handling especially heavy items. Heavy exertion is frequent. Constant kneeling, crouching, stooping, walking and climbing up and down material handling equipment is required. In addition, extended use of the hands to input data on computers is required. Regular unscheduled overtime may occur.
Working Conditions: Most work is performed indoors, but due to the nature of the business, unloading, loading, moving material on work sites, the incumbent may have long term exposure to weather and temperature extremes. Is exposed to the hazards of fork lifts, trucks and cranes operating in close proximity. Must be careful of splinters, cuts and jamming of fingers or toes in handling of materials.

What to expect on the job:
The warehouse coordinator is primarily responsible for the accurate storage, shipping, receiving, cycle counting and location accuracy for all products stored in either frozen or dry goods warehouse areas. This job requires a high degree of organizational skills and ability to work effectively with other organizations on a daily basis.
Additionally the warehouse coordinator must be capable of utilizing the current ERP application and/or RF technology equipment and capable of operating a forklift for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, kitting and counting products.
Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the forklifts. And capable of passing certification training.
Unload and move inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations or production floor and efficiently stack and store the product in the appropriate area.
Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact quantity and type of product required is loaded and shipped. Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.
Fulfillment of work orders per manufacturing schedule. Requires issuing materials or returning material in a real-time basis via RF technology to/from work-orders.
Check or count freight for accuracy and/or damage and infestation.
Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained. Ensure proper stock rotation via FIFO principles.
Must haves:
Knowledge of inventory control systems and processes and the ability to utilize for daily activities.
Experienced in Fork Lift truck operation.
Able to work in Cold Storage environments with temperatures ranging from 24 degrees Fahrenheit to -10 degrees Fahrenheit.
Ability to communicate effectively with Freight suppliers, Import/Export, Freight forwarders, Packaging/Corrugated vendors, Manufacturing personnel, Customer Service, Engineering, Finance and other company personnel as required.
Knowledge of Warehousing processes and how these processes can be integrated into existing company practices and requirements.
Ability to analyze and reconcile inventory variances.
Ability to maintain an accurate and well-organized warehouse and receiving/shipping dock.
Ability to interface with MIS on enhancements or problems with the system application and/or initiate requests necessary to improve or correct inventory control issues.
