About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, products, and inventory within the warehouse. Key duties include loading and unloading materials, operating forklifts and other industrial vehicles safely, and ensuring accurate record-keeping for inventory and distribution. Label materials with proper identifying information and monitor outgoing finished products for accuracy and quality. Perform inventory counts and ensure items are distributed within the plant according to company standards, including proper rotation of date codes. Use computer systems to enter and maintain inventory records, ensuring data accuracy and up-to-date tracking. Conduct routine equipment checks and operate powered industrial vehicles in compliance with safety protocols. Participate in scheduled downtime activities, including cleaning equipment and designated areas throughout the plant, to maintain a safe and organized workspace. Assist in organizing and maintaining warehouse storage areas to optimize space and improve workflow efficiency. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues promptly. Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments to verify accuracy, quality, and compliance with company standards. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck to ensure that it is safe and in reliable operating condition. · Report maintenance issues to supervisors to ensure prompt repairs to equipment to maintain safe and reliable operation condition. · Local drivers must check in with dispatch and obtain instructions for the day. · Timely pick-up, loading, securing and unloading of scheduled and unscheduled freight aboard assigned vehicle. Must unload at customer site. Off-site driver's pick-up and deliver at various Metroplex vendors and customer locations. · Piece count and/or otherwise verify loads, properly handle manifests and be responsible for maintaining and prompt submission of related paperwork. · Drivers are required to inspect before on-boarding all freight, note any damage and make necessary notifications and properly secure all freight for transit. Requirements:REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & CREDENTIALS · Current “Class C or B Texas Operators License· Must have minimum 1 year of verifiable driving history· Must pass driving skills assessment (field test with vehicle)· Must be able to maintain medical work eligibility OTHER ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS · Must be able to pass a criminal background check· Able to pass a mandatory drug test· Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records Check and have a clean driving record· Must maintain a clean driving record during entire period of employment and be insurable REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS & CAPABILITIES · High School Diploma and/or minimum 1 years driving experience· Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English· Must have basic math skills and competency· Must have basic computer use knowledge and skills· Must have access to a valid email address· Must be in good physical health with the ability to repeatedly lift 40+ lbs
