We are currently seeking Material Master Lead to join the Supply Chain function. The role is based at Lucid's manufacturing facility in Casa Grande, AZ, reporting to the Material Planning Manager.
You Will:Responsible for executing the end-to-end Material Master Data process.Enters and maintains accuracy of all material data elements for the material masters in SAP (source system).Document master data owners, definitions, business rules, standards, data impact on operations and reporting which will by utilized to maintain the quality of the master data.Profiles master data to identify data integrity to make appropriate changes that will increase the quality of master data.Monitors all material reports, change notices and exception messages to ensure material data quality.Maintain the various master data hierarchies.Responsible for coordinating with NPI coordinator all process changes.Participates and leads master data clean-up efforts.Adheres to safeguards and controls, data security, compliance and privacy.Assists with any costing information as required for cost rolls for material.Create ad-hoc reports for the Material Planners and GSM team.Handle other projects or assignments as needed.
You Bring: Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.Minimum 2 year of experience in SAP material master data management.Adaptability - must be able to adapt and adjust quickly to changes in a fast-paced business environment.Proficient in Microsoft Project, Smartsheets, Excel and Microsoft Office.Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills.Understanding of integrated supply chain processes.Collaborative and interpersonal skills.Able to work independently and within a team environment.Flexibility in work schedule is required (to include evenings and weekends, as needed).

Role Summary/ Purpose:

The Metallic Materials Lead Engineer works within a team of skilled materials engineers and technicians to provide materials and process definition, supplier qualification, and lifecycle support of aircraft engine hardware. In this role, you will partner with Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure product conformance to technical requirements to achieve customer satisfaction and ensure hardware safety and durability.

Essential Responsibilities:

As a Metallic Materials Engineer you will:

* Understand and apply technical requirements from specifications and engineering drawings that impact materials and processes and provide guidance to multidisciplinary teams
* Define and substantiate material and process selections on new designs & changes to design
* Obtain and evaluate material property data for component assessments and improvements
* Evaluate impacts to material characteristics for initial part qualifications, subsequent process changes and repairs
* Research component history and material properties to apply lessons learned from field experience, manufacturing evolutions, and development programs
* Perform metallurgical evaluations of engine run and new-make hardware
* Document and communicate evaluation results through technical reports and presentations
* Identify Materials and Process technology gaps and propose solutions

Qualification Requirements:

* B.S, M.S. or PhD degree in Materials Engineering, Materials Science or Metallurgy from an accredited college or university
* A minimum of 3 years related engineering experience

Desired Characteristics:

* Familiarity or research in the following competencies:
* Nickel/cobalt base superalloys, titanium, aluminum, copper alloys or steels
* Processes (casting, forging, additive manufacturing, heat treating, joining, coating)
* Characterization (Scanning electron microscopy, metallography, hardness, fractography)
* Experience with manufacturing, quality systems or component field support
* Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously, strategically prioritize
* A self-starter with an eye on problem solving and driving solutions
* Proven facilitation and collaboration skills in multi-disciplinary teams
