The Material Handler - Shipping is responsible for preparing, sorting, and handling materials for outbound shipments. This includes pallet building, product staging, and ensuring SKU accuracy. This role requires consistent physical activity and attention to quality standards in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Build pallets according to storage and loading specifications
Ensure all quality assurance and vendor compliance requirements are met
Physically stack and unstack pallets as needed
Maintain a consistent flow of products to and from the shipping line
Read and sort SKU numbers and product sizes for accurate loading
Perform general housekeeping duties (breaking down boxes, removing trash, sweeping)
Assist with light assembly tasks
Lift up to 50 lbs. consistently throughout the shift
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
Education:
Some high school education required
Experience:
Ability to communicate effectively with peers, leads, and supervisors
Basic English reading skills required
Physical Demands and Work Effort:
Able to perform repetitive tasks including walking, bending, twisting, and use of hands, wrists, and arms
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently
Ability to stand and walk for long periods

Refinery Material Handler

The primary function of the refinery material handler will be to perform the sampling, monitor and load/unload incoming trucks and railcars, monitor tank levels, and perform transfers of material within the tank farm, daily. This position reports to the Operations Manager and works 7 days on and 7 days off. The refinery process is a 24/7 operation, so work hours will require nights weekends, and/or holidays.
Candidates MUST have oil refinery or chemical plant experience.
Starting at $26/hr. plus shift differential.

Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor tank levels and transfer inventory in/out as needed.
* Monitor incoming trucks bringing in used motor oil, antifreeze, and oily water.
* Monitor outgoing trucks taking out asphalt and wastewater.
* Monitor the loading/unloading operations the entire time the pump is moving product to or from the truck.
* Individual will be able to drive powered lift trucks and be aware of their load limits.
* Perform maintenance, housekeeping, or other activities in the warehouse, truck rack, and dock area as directed by supervisor.
* Train relief personnel on operations as needed.
* Rigidly adhere to safe work practices/procedures set forth by regulating authorities and the company and never compromise the safety of any personnel, company, or contractor.
* Will be required to undergo periodic industrial safety training as required by regulating authorities and the company.
* Wear all proper PPE including fall protection when required.
* Ensure environmental and regulatory compliance.
* Report all incidents/injuries/near misses to your supervisor immediately.
* Maintain a "zero-spill" mentality at all times to protect the environment.
* Check all equipment for safe and efficient operations. Report any issues to the Operations Manager.
* Participate in accident or incident investigations as required.
* Perform general housekeeping duties.
* Use basic tools: pipe wrench, crowbar, pliers, screwdrivers, etc.
* Calculate levels in tanks using basic math.
* Carry and communicate on a 2-way radio to respond to all calls.
* Communicate with Operations Supervisor to ensure paperwork is in order daily.
* Communicate with the Refinery Lead operator on tank lineups and gauges prior to loading/offloading/transferring.
* Ensure all procedures for loading and offloading are followed.
* Sample incoming trucks per procedure.
* Understand and troubleshoot basic pump operation: cavitation, seal leaks, vibration, etc. to maintain efficient equipment.
* Adequately stock operational and emergency supplies.
* Operate a basic pressure washer.
Requirements:
* MUST have experience in a refinery plant or chemical plant and truck unloading/loading environment.
* Must have the ability to perform basic computer/email/fax functions.
* Good verbal, written, and oral communication skills.
* Self-motivated and able to work alone or in a team environment.

Job Overview
The Automated Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for the fulfillment of customer orders by retrieving and stacking specific product and quantities as specified on the pick ticket/computer screen assigned on a pre-determined conveyor and, or pallet while traveling throughout the warehouse's pick area to do so, in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner while maintaining any determined expectations of safety, accuracy, and, or efficiency. This position is also responsible for building stable pallet(s) of product while meeting or exceeding warehouse and company expectations in safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Assists and facilitates in case picking and sorting within the automated environment using computers, software, and complex machines while adhering to all established CCCI safety procedures and policies, multi-tasking, and making sound decisions in a noisy and time-sensitive environment
* Collaborates within a team environment to coordinate and organize efficient and dependable warehouse processes
* Adapts to needs of the role and maintains knowledge of working in different work areas throughout the workday while meeting the minimum expectations of those different work areas, including, but not limited to, HQS, Semi-Automated Lanes, Pallet Pick, and Flow Rack
* Assists in the daily housekeeping and maintenance of the warehouse, including keeping the work area free of trash and, or debris, as well as cleaning any type of spillage and following all waste removal and recycling protocols

About the Role
Responsible for safely operating a fork truck in a warehouse and around pedestrians, refilling designated materials, and moving finished goods and raw materials.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Must be able to learn and comply with all Amcor Rigid Packaging's safety rules/regulations.
Responsible for wearing designated PPE.
Must be able to safely operate our fork trucks.
Responsible for conducting forklift pre-inspections at start of every shift. If moved to the forklift after the start of the shift, pre-inspection is to be completed at this time.

Keep assigned work areas clean, neat, organized, and free from safety hazards.
Keep raw materials stocked at the line and the packer stations.

Assist in shipping and receiving as needed.
Work in the automation cell to keep the equipment loaded with bags, boxes, tape, etc., unjamming the machines, and keeping them running.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is defined as: Manages warehousing operations by receiving, storing, and/or shipping various supplies and materials to support operational needs. OR accurately sorts and routes items, adhering to specifications and procedures, while operating forklifts or other equipment to ensure efficient material flow.
Qualifications: Applicants will be rated in accordance with the Office of Personnel Management Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties at the level for which you are applying.
Placement in this position may require a pre-employment physical examination. This is required due to the physical requirements of this position. Works on hard surfaces and in work areas that require standing, stooping, bending and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Frequently lifts and carries weights up to 40 lbs. May handle heavier items with freight handling equipment or with assistance from other workers.
Examples of Qualifying Experience include: Performing warehousing activities which may include keeping logs and records in an orderly and accurate manner and the operation of mechanized equipment such as utility vehicles, mobile stock selectors and forklifts to receive and transmit storage, inventory and requisition data under the direct supervision of a Supervisory Materials Handler.
