We are seeking a Manager to lead the Demand and Material Planning operations for the Lucid Service's Global Supply Chain team. The position requires an experienced professional with a strong automotive background to understand the challenges within the industry's complex Service supply strategy. This Manager will grow and lead a team of Demand Planning Analysts and Planning professionals, including Material Planners, Channel Planners and Expeditors. Engagement with Procurement and Manufacturing operation teams are needed to execute Service deliverables that will ultimately ensure the highest customer experience.

The RoleCreate a strong, efficient, and reliable supply strategy for Service's direct materials Lead the Material Planning functions by driving solutions to prevent gaps in our supply schedule Build a team of Demand Analysts to evaluate statistical data, recommend, and influence supply strategies Own and drive operational excellence through measurable tools as MRP, forecast models, etc.Collaborate with Lucid's Procurement teams for an end-to-end strategy; including sourcing, contract negotiations, material supply and lifecycle management to ensure downstream operational excellence in ServicePartner with suppliers and internal Lucid stakeholders to establish continuous supply and strengthen our position through strong planning strategies while mitigating risk Partner closely with the Service NPI team to coordinate material and vehicle changes; including full lifecycle management of supply and compatibility configurations Collaborate with Distribution and Inventory teams to optimize channel planning and reduce inventory holding cost while building healthy field inventory
QualificationsRelevant Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or equivalent work experience; MBA is preferred8+ years in the Automotive industry related to Supply Chain with experience managing a team of direct reports Service/Spares supply chain knowledge is desired Strong knowledge of MRP and ERP functions Product launch, NPI or Start-Up experience is preferred Ability to organize and drive continuous improvement Exceptional ability to interface and collaborate with individuals, groups, and vendors Excellent oral and written communication skills Passion to continuously develop, improve, and maintain processes

This temporary position will support Material Planning with the daily requirements of tracking material availability, expediting orders from both internal and external suppliers and adjusting schedules in a methodical fashion. Other duties as required to maintain product availability and lead time in the most efficient means possible. Prioritization is key.
ES S ENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Uses SAP transactions and reports to identify issues to material plan and production schedules. Missing parts report. Open purchase orders. Call external vendors and check the production floor for internal components. Communicate status and maintain delivery information in SAP. Review and prepare material master and supply chain information for input and maintenance. Other duties or projects as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education:


Associates degree in a related degree field; Bachelor's degree preferred. In lieu of degree, consideration for additional years of related experience may be accepted as a trade-off.
Required Length & Type of Experience:


One year of related experience in planning, coordinating and scheduling production operations preferred. APICS Supply Chain Certification preferred. Prior experience using material planning software (such as SAP MRP) desired.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA's):


Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Prior SAP experience preferred. An understanding of Lean Manufacturing processes such as Kanban. Time management skills to prioritize and multi-task. Customer-service orientation. Demonstrates ability to effectively communicate orally to individuals and groups. Detail-oriented. Ability to process data logically and identify issues. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Oversee the operation and daily activities of the Material Planning Department including establishing and adhering to objectives based on corporate inventory needs and sales projections. Manage all aspects of material planning to efficiently and cost-effectively support organizational operations.
Essential Functions

Develop, lead, and execute material planning strategies for the business
Direct material planning policies to ensure all items are purchased and delivered within budget and time constraints
Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
Assess, manage, and mitigate risk within material planning
Establish standard operating procedures for material planning; monitor effectiveness of procedures, revise and improve processes
Monitor supplier compliance with contractual agreements
Measure and manage supplier cost, quality, and delivery performance
Oversee and improve vendor performance
Investigate issues, find root cause, and develop solutions
Manage, develop, and motivate material planning staff
Assist with other supply chain analysis and initiatives as required
Support food safety program, quality standards, and legality of manufactured products
Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)

Bachelor's degree in a supply chain related discipline and/or 7 equivalent years of experience
APICS affiliation/certification desired
Strong leadership capability
Food manufacturing experience and familiarity with commodity sensitive businesses preferred
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Excel; experience with ERP Systems, Microsoft Great Plains and/or SAP desired
Experience with manufacturing modules including MRP, MPS, and WMS
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Ability to effectively communicate with multi-level personnel as well as suppliers, customers, and their representatives
Ability to work cross-functionally, convey complex issues, and maintain confidentiality
Ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Ability to think quickly and handle frequent change
Self-motivated, goal oriented, quality driven, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
