Materion is seeking a Process Engineer to join our rapidly-growing Precision Optics team located in Westford, MA. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Process Engineer will work with team members to develop and define new processes to meet customer requirements and maintain existing processes. The incumbent will assist with the photolithography and wafer level cell areas.

You Will Have the Opportunity to:

* Oversee and validate statistical process control, process improvement efforts, new equipment and process installation

* Work with Product Development Engineers to develop monitor schemes

* Support Manufacturing Engineers in achieving or exceeding predicted process capability, yield and OEE

* Design tooling and masking with Product Development Engineer

* Work with Safety to provide safe process and working conditions

Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in engineering field or science discipline

* Strong mathematics background in order to perform statistical analysis

* Minimum of 5 years of hands-on optical coating manufacturing experience or related manufacturing experience

* Optics and optical systems background preferred

OCCUPATION: Sales Coordinator DEPT: Customer Support

JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE: Under the general direction of and reporting to Customer Success Manager, the Sales Coordinator performs a wide variety of clerical and administrative tasks related to office operations in accordance with company policies and procedures. Handles details of a confidential nature and operates with good initiative.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Verify all information from quotation and customer PO to insure the customer is ordering something we priced and can produce.
* Prepare item setup documents for engineering (as needed) and input customers order in MRP system (i.e. SAP).
* Check customer addresses, special instructions and shipping methods.
* Place these on the order acknowledgement and traveler where they affect our specs, documentation or packaging (i.e. special labels, multiple copies on the C of C or packing lists, limited shipping over weekends etc.).
* Work with finance to apply correct payment and shipping terms.

* Participate as part of the sales team to execute departmental goals and accomplishments.
* Responsible for billing and filing of closed orders.

* Answer and refer all incoming calls to appropriate person or department and represent Company in a pleasant and efficient manner.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and customers.

As a member of the Extrusion Operations team, you will operate the extrusion press , lubricate press liner, die, and mandrel prior to each extrusion cycle, clean and inspect stem, and extrusion tooling after each cycle and frequently inspects liner and reports conditions to Lead Operator.

The Technology Transfer Specialist will optimize, stabilize, and transfer new products and processes to Operations in coordination with the Materion Technology & Innovation team. Utilizing the phase-gate process, this position will further provide engineering support in the areas of new product and process development, troubleshooting, and improvements in process safety, quality, and efficiency. The position will also research and propose new equipment, procedures, and methods to automate, improve, and/or scale-up existing processes. This role will support projects at all Materion Performance Alloys and Composites (PAC) locations with travel expected to be 25% or greater.

* Ensure that safety and process hazard reviews are conducted for new or modified equipment and procedures.
