We're seeking an experienced NICU Unit nurse, part-time, days, responsible for being a capable clinician who has acquired broad experience in caring for patients, and has developed a sound understanding about the care of a particular patient population and routinely uses acquired knowledge, theory, research and experience to respond to changes in clinical situations. This RN professional can apply the Synergy Model for Care in practice, and use this knowledge to personalize care for each patient/family while serving as a resource to colleagues and strong advocate for them. This individual will:
Regarded as clinical expert and role model in application of the nursing process and evidence-based practice to manage the complex care needs of specific patient populations.
Completes employee conference, risk management and unit management reports within specified time frames.
Identifies the need for revision and evaluates the effectiveness of operational forms.
Assists the CNS and Unit Director to conduct annual educational needs assessment.
Based on needs assessments, assists CNS and UD to provide assurance that staff have opportunities to acquire necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes to fulfill role expectations.
Coordinates unit based clinical orientation program for new staff, students and preceptors.
Assists departmental or unit teams in the developing annual competency checklists.
Under direction of the CNS and Unit Director, assists with meeting the education and training needs of staff.
Under direction of the CNS and UD, Integrates patient /family education activities into unit based staff development and continuing education programs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
Two years experience as an RN with a minimum of two years of experience in the area of concentration.
Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
Nursing certification preferred. Completion of formal preceptor training workshop.
BLS required and ACLS may be required in designated departments.
If promoted internally or hired externally, the incumbent must complete UNE criteria requirements within nine months of promotion or hire, including completion of Enhancing your Communication HLC#6488.

* Use local mass media to publicize 4‐H events and accomplishments
* Use website and internet media to increase 4‐H program outreach
* Coordinate reporting with other staff members and make reports to appropriate clientele and public officials through media, personal contacts, and/or group meetings to provide information on progress of 4‐H programs
* Submit accurate, complete reports on time in Georgia Counts, 4‐H Enrollment, and to District and State 4‐H Office and provide supplemental documentation useful in evaluating and improving educational programs as needed
