This is a perfect job for K12 certified classroom teachers with summers off who want to teach children various types of new technology. Lead Instructors are adults who are responsible for the well-being and education of the students. A lead instructor may have either a degree/experience in education or significant experience in one of the content areas. They must have a strong understanding of the course concepts being taught as well as any techniques and software involved. Classroom management skills are preferred.
Upon completion of the Black Rocket training program, instructors must demonstrate competency in the core concepts and software used. In addition to teaching responsibilities, lead instructors are also responsible for the supervision of staff, equipment management, and enforcement of site policies. Training begins in spring 2026. This is a seasonal position. Experience with technology preferred, but not required. Training is provided.

Perform classroom support visits and periodically review the Math/Science and/or Reading and Language Arts/Social Studies, Advanced, and College and Career Readiness programs for student success.
Ensure that an auditable schedule of daily duties is maintained at all times. A detailed record/schedule of duties, days and times when working extra duty must also be maintained.
Work individually with teachers on specific instructional strategies to provide differentiated instruction. Provide follow-up after instructional training. Leverage the use of technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process for the success of at-risk students.
Provide ongoing differentiated support and monitor the use of campus and district resources.
Collaborate with campus administrators to plan and coordinate instructional initiatives such as, orientation, instructional nights, instructional fairs, instructional awards programs, tutoring, STAAR Interventions, College and Career Readiness (CCR), intersession and summer school.
