As a Special Education Teacher, you will lead the instructional process for students in Middle School with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), designing dynamic and personalized learning experiences within the learning center and/or classroom. ‖ Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree or higher in education, special education or a closely related field of study.
Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a special education instruction credential.
Ability to obtain and maintain certification in company approved crisis management (PCM) training.
Prior experience working with curriculum development, differentiation and instruction, preferably in an alternative, special education and/or behavioral health program setting.
Prior experience and/or knowledge in special education services and compliance, particularly for students with learning disabilities, emotional behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders and/or other related disabilities.
Prior experience and/or highly knowledgeable in working with students with individualized education plans (IEP's).

The Job: SmartStart Education seeks a small group Math and ELA tutors to work with small groups of elementary and middle school students several times throughout the week. Each small group consists of 1-4 students. Each group consists of students who have been identified as students who are struggling with fundamental ELA and Math skills. Students are from all grade levels, including 4th through 8th Grade. The tutor will work with each group several times throughout the week at elementary and middle schools in Muncie, Indiana. Groups will take place within the classroom (push-in services) or outside of the classroom (pull-out services). Tutors should be flexible and comfortable with both settings.
