Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or related field required.
Licenses: Standard Arkansas Teaching License in Elementary Education (K-6) or English Language Arts (7-12); or eligible for licensure through reciprocity; or currently enrolled in an Alternative Licensure Program (ALP).
Experience: Prior teaching experience in reading or language arts preferred.
Must pass state and federal background checks, including fingerprinting and child maltreatment registry checks.
Ongoing participation in professional development activities as required by ADE.
Strong content knowledge in reading instruction and literacy development.
Proficiency in integrating technology into instruction.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience teaching in a KIPP or other high-performing charter school environment preferred.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

Special Education teachers report to and are supported by the District Special Education Manager, who provides leadership in all areas of special education programming. In collaboration with the School Principal, the Manager also supports the consistent implementation of attendance and behavioral procedures.
Key Responsibilities
