Responsibilities Include:
Provides lesson plans and conducts instructional activities appropriate to progress reports
Assesses and prepares IFSP/IEP's. Implements and evaluates short and long-term goals and objectives. • Participates in activities pertaining to student transitioning.
Provides quarterly progress reports
Provides educational assessment and evaluation on students annually in all educational domains.
Prepares and adapts all individual and group lesson plans and materials, equipment and furniture arrangement and necessary modifications of environment.
Maintains records of daily attendance and progress. Writes periodic progress reports, annual reports and other data as requested.
Serves and participates as a member at interdisciplinary team meetings, Annual Reviews, Parent Meetings, Special Review Committee meetings, In-Services, etc. as required.
Attends regular staff meetings, student reviews, district meetings and conferences.
Attends parent meetings as requested. Confers with individual parents on program content and progress as it relates to their child.

Our salary schedule is commensurate with years of lead teaching experience and your certification status. Our teaching salaries start at $68,707 for a first-year uncertified teacher and $75,250 for a first-year certified teacher and cap at $137,729 for a certified teacher with 29+ years of lead teaching experience. Family and Community Engagement
Support Family Engagement in all aspects of the Head Start program.
Foster the belief in parents that they are their child's best teachers and reinforce these concepts with practical suggestions for development.
Conduct regularly scheduled home visits and parent/teacher conferences.
Share assessment data and observations with parents and ensure parental input in individualized planning for each child.

Health & Safety

Provide families health education on a variety of topics at Home Visits and Parent-Teacher Conferences.

Act as the primary contact with therapists and itinerant teachers serving children in their Classroom, working in partnership to implement the IFSP or IEP goals.

Partner with families and staff to encourage and support attendance as a priority for school readiness.

Training and Professional Development
